What's your favorite fleet soap?

Recently I have been using Mr. Muscle as my truck wash of choice which has worked pretty well and can be purchased easily from Envirospec. I have also bought a 55 gal drum pack of their new Bond Breaker soap which is suppose to be a brush free wash, we'll see. What are your favorite soaps for brush free truck washing?

We use a local product that's similar to Russ Johnson's Panel Brite.

Honestly there's no such thing as a brushless soap. But there's some that work really well and can get pretty close.

Received my Bond Breaker today and mixed up a batch tonight. It has been pretty snowy and wet here in Maine the past few days so my white truck was pretty dirty and usually to get it real white again I have to brush, but I was curious about the new soap so I tried it tonight. WOW, worked way better (again it was at night so visibility not great) but big difference. Going to try it out on my black trucks tomorrow and see if it continues to work great. I shall look into those others you were talking about too. For a 55 gal drum pack of Bond Breaker it costs about $174 which makes a concentrate that I downstream inject using an Allison Super Suds Sucker.

Fleet washing secrets from the company with over 43 years’ experience.

Road film isn’t just dirt.
It’s the result of the build-up of road dirt, diesel smoke & other foreign contaminates emitted from the vehicle engine or picked up in the atmosphere.
As a vehicle moves at a high speed, it generates friction & static electricity, forming an electrostatic bond to the pollutants.
These pollutants bond to your vehicle’s surface like steel shavings to a magnet.
So how do you clean it? There are two options. Physically pull or brush those “shavings” from the magnet by brushing your truck clean. Or... Neutralize the magnetic bond and let the shavings fall off with HCS’s 2-step process!
Why can’t I just use 1-step?High pressure and high temperature water is commonly needed to apply 1-step soaps, and that can damage your truck.
• 1-step soaps are often highly caustic to remove road film, which risks damage to your vehicle, especially shiny surfaces.
• A 1-step soap has to be customized to individual dirt and weather conditions. If your truck travels to different locations, one soap might not work for all kinds of road film.
• Complete road film removal is not possible without brushing, which increases labor costs.
• Aluminum surfaces are not cleaned well by a 1-step process.
• Repeated 1-step washing results in a truck still having a charged surface after the wash. The truck will attract film more quickly and be more difficult to clean with each subsequent wash.
Why I should use 2-step instead?
• Requires less physical labor. 2-step can be applied quickly by an individual or a small team.
• Produces a neutralized, film-free surface that guards against new film buildup longer.
• Results in a cleaner vehicle surface. It also effectively cleans and brightens aluminum surfaces.
• Environmentally friendly. The result is a nearly neutral waste water effluent. There is less need for solvents or high phosphates. • Cleans road film resulting from all weather conditions and dirt types, giving 2-step a universal application nationwide with very predictable results.
• Cleans irregular surfaces such as tankers, livestock haulers, gravel trains, refuge vehicles, etc.
• Eliminating brushing means no micro-abrasions on your painted surfaces.
The 2-Step Wash Process.
Some contaminants that make up road film have a positive charge, and some have a negative charge. 1-step alkaline soap cleans the positive charges, but it leaves the negatively charged contaminants. This means that over time, your 1-step soap will be less and less effective because it doesn’t get rid of the negatively charged road film. The low pH pre-soak neutralizes the negatively charged road film particles with positively charged soap. The 2nd-step detergent will neutralize the remaining positively charged road film with a negative charge. Now all of the road film has been neutralized! Rinse with moderate pressure and your truck is clean and bright!
The 2-Step Wash Process. A dirty truck with road film Step 1: Applying the Presoak Step 2: Applying the Detergent Rinse with Moderate Pressure Here’s why you should invest in HCS’s 2-Step Solution right now! • It reduces or eliminates labor costs.
2-Step is faster and more efficient than brushing. Lower your cost per wash!

Dan your the manager of hydro chem now?Thats good there remote is top notch in the industry after you change out those cheap worthless why would you sell them on a two step remote lol.The dema 481-p is the desired valve because the internal housing is all plastic. When the product has an 8 on it shortly after the contact is made that little spring in those 421s will erode very quick i have a bag of them i can send back.I do really like the remote that i got from there clicks like a chicken.

Blaine, I watched your wash video - it's great.

Also went to your chem site. Black screen. Did you get hacked?

No but I bet you don't have a flash player on your internet access device. It's all in Flash and I am looking to get it changed. The guy that redesigned it said it was the greatest thing. I agreed to it not realizing that Apple and Google hate all flash sites.

That goofy guy in the yellow sweatshirt is me. Not a high class video but I guess you get the idea.

Yep, along with something like 500 million other people, I have an iPhone.

If my math is correct that allows about 3 1/2 minutes per piece(tractor or trailer) That's moving! Do you wash that fast Dan?

I came up with 5.25 minutes per piece(tractor and trailer) which seems a lot more reasonable. 7 hours is 420 minutes., 80 into 420 isn't 3.5. it's 5.25

You are not allowing any time for moving hoses, moving your rig, putting fuel in machines, getting a snack, etc. That will, and does, happen in real life over the span of 7 hours. Just keeping it real.

Is that $174 including the shipping?

Yes, with Envirospec you get free shipping when you spend $150 or more! Comes with a 40 lbs bag of powder and a gallon of liquid surfactant and a bag of powdered booster. Works great!
