And here are the total parts I use to make this reel. Minus the bolts,Ha,Ha,..

And one of how the handle is attached.

* Another thing Hal,..I've never seen where a pin lock, or disk drag would have been beneficial,...I never had any issues with over spooling or anything. I'm sure if you go really fast and stop it it will over spool,..but it's an non issue for me.

Thanks a lot buddy. I just got done running a wire wheel across a section of my trailer and slapping some Ospho on to prepare for a new paint job. I'm just doing sections at a time when I've got a little free time, but when the new paint is on my next project is the hose reel and a new ladder rack for my truck. I'm thinking of putting the hose reel on a swing arm and a pivot base.... I'll keep you guys updated when I get to it.

I avoid the whole manifold issue by eliminating it. No manifold equals nothing to rot out.

But you have role off all 200 or 300 feet of hose overtime that way don't you???

My water hose reels are set up that way. Cam-lock on the reel, no swivel. Disconnect jump hose, unreel as much as needed.

Peak - what kind of reel is that and what is the gear/teeth driving? That thing looks awesome. Thanks

Not sure how I missed your post. That is a custom manifold-less roof cleaning reel we have built by Hannay. I sell them in manual or electric. The version pictured is electric rewind, designed to hold 350' of 3/4" roof spray hose. Manual rewind versions that hold up to 300' of 1/2" or 225' of 5/8" spray line start at $549. The swivel is a specially built CPVC Swivel with Viton fittings that is rebuildable. There is NO manifold and no metal in the fluid line. We use ours to transfer 12.5% SH with our air pump, then it cleans roofs all,day and often we don't even rinse it. Not a drop, not a single hint of red in the tank in a full season.
