Being the Bad Guy

Ron I guess you have a issue with any one who has a different opinion then you. I simply agreed with Brian that any one who throws stuff at people has anger issues. Then you text me saying I am negative, how is that negative to agree with someone??

Ron this is a great forums I tried to block you out so I would not ever see your post but it wont let me.

You seem to attack me every-time I have a different opinion then you do.

If you would like to help me can you please block all of your post on this site to me, that would be a great help.

Ps I am one of the most positive people you have ever talked to. why the constant attacks? are you full of that much hate to anyone who has a different opinion then you.


You ask me why I hang around you guys on a text, I dont hang around you guys, I come here because of a lot of people, and you are not one of them, that I promise. This is a great forum, If I could just block you out I would but the controls don't allow it.

What definition of leader says I can't state my own thoughts and opinions honestly? Are you so use to being lied to that you expect us to lie to you?

Dave I feel poorly for the bad things your said about me, yes it bothers me. I'm over now as I attempted to let the past be in the past. I don't hold any issue with you Dave.

If the future please treat all the members here with different respect you have given us. We don't need this non sense in these threads. Seems your stuck in the middle each time.

I won't apologize to Ty , he is a big man. He read the posts above and sees I tried to attempt to get along with you. Funny thing is most of these bbs if you had just told the staff you dislike them like you have here you would be gone. Ty knows we don't ban folks because they don't like us. We are simply more secure with who we are here.

yet another negative post by someone who is suppose to be a leader what a shame.

It's actually a shame you don't have respect for a guy who has done for you. Tonys secured the future generations of washing for you and others. Maybe if you actually supported something besides talk you realized what some of the volunteers have done for the industry.

Maybe a thank you to the volunteers instead tearing down at each turn.

First of all, anyone that says anyone is not worth listening to is not very smart. I know that I have learned a lot from different people, even if it is something that is along of the lines of "I won't do that".
As for hiring and firing employees. I think the best thing I have ever done is to hire someone to handle discipline and employee matters. Even though it is my son, in this case, his vested interest is not nearly what mine is. I take employee neglect personally, and wonder and worry about it all day. My wife is even worse about it. She does tend to get more involved than I do. That is her area of expertise, like it or not, so I let her do her thing. Before anything gets really serious, we will talk it over, and I will calm her down. I do think that she would be better off if she learned to let it go, and let other people handle it.
No doubt about it, employees are hard. They don't understand, or have the desire to please customers that I have, and their thought process is not that of a business owner. Interestingly, in all my years of managing people both in the pressure washing industry, and without, the most productive employees have the heart of an entrepreneur. The problem is that they also have the desire to go do their own thing, and are a risk that they will start up competition. I never appreciate that, of course usually I work people hard enough that they have no desire to power wash in the future after they quit, so there is that.

Anyway, all of my guys know that if they are coming to my office, that it is never a good thing. If I chew them out, I never have to raise my voice, in fact, I tell them at the end that they have just been chewed out, and they don't want to see me angry if I have to chew them out again.
 
I gotta tell ya...I am pretty thankful for the all the teachers, COACHES, even my parents from time to time, that raised their voice or yelled at me. Sometimes its the right thing for the right person at the right time.
 
I worked for a guy years ago who was a yeller

Never bothered me- always knew where he was coming from

Some thin skinned guys didnt last- but the guy really was a good guy- just passionate

he'd yell at guys then the next day buy them lunch or reward them for a great job they did

There's an old saying....if your worth correcting, your worth KEEPING. I'd worry more if they quit yelling and correcting. I learned early to not let the yelling bother me, instead focus on the message. Course thats part of my Baptist upbringing too...lol
