Residential and Commercial Pressure Washing Specia
Over the years I have been pretty fortunate when it comes to bad debt. I currently have a property management company way past due on some apartment complexes.

is it possible to put a lien on an apartment complex. If so, is it difficult? Would prefer to do myself rather than spending a fortune on attorney fees

I know there are things that you can not do when trying to collect a debt. I have located the owners of this property management company, is it illegal to send this person a message on Facebook Twitter or LinkedIn. Nothing threatening just making him aware of the debt and asking him to look into it

Mark- Depending on whats owed, i would probably at least consult with an attorney-doesnt mean you have to have retain him/her

I would also check with the county court regarding civil complaint action- small claims, etc

Im sure the court personel can direct you

Ive always been told as long as you dont post anything harassing and its FACTUAL without derogatory language you can post anything anywhere

I would start with a "private message" on FB if you have their access

Good Luck

Mark, It all depends what you had them sign in your business policies and procedures outline. (payment plan) I used to work for a development company and they wanted us, as managers, to string out payment to contractors as long as possible because we had to pay interest on that money. A 30 day would become a 90-120 day pay if the contractor did not have payment schedules lined out in their contract..
A suggestion, for next time, is to make sure you have a 30 day net in the base of your contract, a $50.00 late fee and a 10% weekly on all invoices not paid one week after said date.
