I just started my business over the winter. I have 1 job this week another in 2 weeks and also 2 bids pending and have a bunch of cards going to my realator for some possible help on the inspections. This is all from people I know. I am meeting with an add guy wednesday for a monthly add magazine. 31500 addresses for 180/month. Got a few people in my neighborhood asking questions too. How did yours start out? The hardest part for me so far is waiting for the answers on bids.

Like Mike said website is critical. Jim call Ty and speak with him about a website and your domain name. Best phone call you'll make today.

Ya the website is a must. It gives your customers something to look at. A Website help you look more professional and not like a fly by the night guy. Also don't wait on business go get business. Hope it goes well for you.

Does your neighborhood have a facebook group/page? If so, try to drum up business there. I'm in a similar boat as you, as I started in the fall last year. I've gotten on the local facebook group for my town/neighborhood. I offer a 20% discount to anyone on in the facebook group. Since I started doing that, I've gotten a lot busier, averaging between 2 and 4 homes a week just from that group. Not much compared to most of the guys here, but not bad for a new guy like me. It has led to referrals outside of the neighborhood, so building a name for myself.

Even if you can't get a website right now, be sure that you have a facebook page, and share it with everyone you know. I also ran a 10% discount to anyone who "liked" my FB page. That has gotten some business too.

Ty, I thought you were not taking any new customers.
