Nozzle sizing help!!!!

In need of some serious help people.

So I my pressure washer is this one http://www.pressure-pro.com/spec-sheet/B5550HGEA511.pdf I have a few extras on it but this is the model it's built on.

5.5 gpm 5000 psi pump with GX690. I knew buying it the horsepower wasn't there but I was cool with that as long as I got 4000 psi.

I was using a 5.0 nozzle but decided to get it dialed in tip size and that's where the problem is.

Hose is 150' of 3/8 to a foot pedal then 120' of 5/16 hose. On the end of the hose is a 3/8 tee with a pressure gauge and a QC socket. I then got four zero degree nozzle sizes to try out. 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5

RPM's at the engine.....no load is 3700, with load 3400 rpms. Measured with tiny tach.

Pressure gauge at nozzle is new, gauge at pump is 10 hours old.

I turned it on, full throttle and the only thing I ever changed was the nozzle.....never adjusted the unloader. BTW, the unloader isn't bottomed out at all. So here are the results:

Full throttle, no nozzle......0 psi at nozzle, 800 psi at pump.

5.0-4500 at nozzle, 4600 at pump
5.5-4400 at nozzle, 4400 at pump
6.0-4100 at nozzle, 4100 at pump
6.5-4000 at nozzle, 3700 at pump

-So why aren't I seeing any pressure loss from the hose friction.

-As the nozzle size increases the pressure does go down as expected....but not in the increment that a pressure chart shows. This is the chart I'm using http://www.ultimatewasher.com/nozzles-size-pressure-washer.htm

According to the chart, a 6.0 nozzle would only allow me to build up to 3500 psi. So why am I able to build higher pressure then the chart says?

Moving forward during testing I realized that my pressure test is somehow really flawed but I needed to figure out what nozzle size was best. So my unofficial test was to see how close I could get a 2x6 to the nozzle tip. The tee assembly was in jawhorse and the 6.0 actually caused it to lift up and flip over before I could react. Placing the 2x6 in front of the nozzle wasn't happening about 8". All the other nozzles allowed me to pretty much push the wood onto the nozzle and none of them flipped the jawhorse over.

Any suggestions? Thanks everyone.IMG_20150413_174059371_1.jpg
