Does SH get weaker over time

It seems like my 12% SH is not working like it did last year. I start with my standard amount but I have to keep increasing how much I put in my bucket for downstreaming on siding. I'm buying it from a pool place that probably has the same stock from last year. I know no one is buying it for their pool so I am wondering does it loose any percentage after sitting for 6 months?
 
Yes, it gets weak fast.
Keep it out of the sunlight, indoors is possible.

Heat, sunlight and time weakens the SH so try to only order what you will use in a couple months or less.
 
I buy it from a pool supply in 2.5 gallon containers. I guess I'm stuck with this batch till their next order. I would like to buy it in 25 or 50 gallon containers. My pool supply place said he can't get it in those quantities.
 
I would keep looking, there has to be chemical suppliers there in new jersey, a lot off times the bleach in smaller containers has been sitting for many months and is getting weaker and weaker before you buy them.
 
I got a janitorial supply place to bring it in and deliver it to me in 55 gallon drums for like. 30 cents a gallon over what Harcross wanted to charge me to drive 90 mile one way and 1 barrel at a time. No brainer for me.
 
Fresh - pool store they get every other day - it cost more but its the some hot stuff. You can always cut it but to make it stonger not so easy
 
I want to thank Mike from Diamond Roof Cleaning. Because of his help I am able to get a 55 gallon drum of 12% SH delivered to my house for $93 cheaper than if I bought it from a pool store. Exactly why I post my questions here.
