Ivy "feet" or suckers removal

Anybody have any tips on how to remove the stains left by ivy on siding (vinyl to be specific)? I'm talking about the little suckers that attached directly to the siding, obviously the ivy itself can just be ripped down. I'd prefer a chem that would soften them over a mechanical method, but whatever works...

Thanks!

Idk. I just had a customer call and complain that we didn't remove the ivy vines off the house ( pull them off) I told him that's not our job nor was it mentioned on the estimate. He said he could of power washed them of himself I told him good luck.

The best thing I've done is after the vines are removed, is apply apply 12.5% and whatever soap you prefer,.. let it dwell for at least 30-45 minutes,..with re-applications at about every 10 minutes,..then hit them with the washer and many should come off. I don't normally recommend using that strong of SH on vinyl,..but sometimes with issues such as these "suckers" from vines there's not much other choice. other them to leave them on. If you have a hot machine that may work also to soften them,..but not to hot,..may warp the siding.

Don't feel bad these can be tough. They actually release from painted surfaces better than vinyl,..paint isn't as porous as vinyl.

Do these at the start of the job and by the time the job is done they should be softened considerably.

You can get them off with a little plastic scraper. I show the customer how I do it and what I charge to do it. Only a couple have paid me to do it. Problem solved.

My first house wash, was on a house that had it every brick almost. Luckly I did some research and told them it would not come off.
