Invoice Question

Hey, my husband and I are still pretty new to owning our own Pressure Washing company. He does all the work, going out to give estimates/bids, etc. And I manage everything else behind the scenes.

My question is, I'm making up an invoice for a job right now where my husband is pressure washing the club house and the tennis courts for a country club. The PM group wants his EIN or SSN attached to the invoice so they can send him a check.

How/ What would be the best way to go about adding his tax information to the invoice? Should I just attach a W-9 Form to the invoice? We have not yet had any customers need his tax information yet so this is all new to me.

Thanks!

its not an unusual request

Call them and ask them if a W9 will suffice- i think thats what they want

Thank you! Attaching a W-9 made the most sense to me, but I just wanted to make sure. My husband just left the gentleman who is handling this a voicemail. And he is new to this also. It's been raining here all week and told my husband he didn't want him out there yesterday cleaning because it is wet and he may "slip and fall". Should be interesting!
