New engine accessories, what do I need?

I am looking to put together another washer and need some guidance on what I need to make the engine whole? I am looking at a Kohler 27 hp or a Robin Subaru 28 hp engine. I know I need a muffler, and it appears neither of them have a control box, but not sure. Do I need a control box and if I do, does it come with the wires to attach the control box or do I need to buy that too?

There is limited info on the sites I want to purchase the engines on, and the only experience I have with putting together a big washer is with a predator, that came with everything, basically plug and play. Also does anyone have experience with a subaru or kohler engine?

Ralph what website you looking at the site should tell you if the muffler and controls come on the engine. if no controls you should be able to get by with just a keyswitch unless they are efi motors. other than those 2 things all you need is a base pump gearbox or pulleys and plumbing. just look at your other machines and copy everything you don't already have.

Greg I was looking here http://www.brandnewengines.com/EH722DSF040.aspx and here http://www.smallenginewarehouse.com/EH722D-SF040.html

I got the part about putting the washer together. I have a 22 hp 10 gpm washer I made already with a udor gearbox combo and did all the plumbing and stuff. I just don't have experience with having to piece the engine together to get the right configuration. I believe the engines I am looking at are EFI, so I guess I need a special control box or something?

I just buy a DPDT toggle from NAPA Auto Parts and a Push switch. Much Cheeper!

Here is how it is done!

I think the one you showed me is better(engine, small engine warehouse) . They charge me $119 tax. Free shipping. Brand new engines charge $135 shipping and the engine is $99 more. I'd save $115. Which will pay for the control box. One of them say they don't sell the good control box anymore on their site, but they sell it on ebay. Don't know whats up with that.

I guess small engine warehouse is better http://www.smallenginewarehouse.com/RO-92630047.html Half the price

WHAT EVER!!! The cost of My set-up is about $20 Bucks You can't beat that with a stick. Of coarse you got lost with how it is done you just want Money $$$$$$

What the hell are you talking about? If I am going to buy a $1700 engine why would I want to put a $20 switch on there. When I can buy the switch and low oil indicator made for the engine, for $49? Also you haven't a clue about my motivation, obviously.

Sorry Guys. My Bad,

And The title of Honorary was given to me when I was off line for so long.
They jerked away my professor title and gave my section to Russ.
I was invited to this site when it began 14 years ago.
I have been part of this site when it was just starting up.
My title should be Jedi Professor.

Sorry Guys. My Bad,
We've all been there John. When I see a schematic, my eyes glass over. Nothing I said was directed towards the post trying to help. Only when you seem to take offense at me not wanting to wire up a switch. I would rather just plug in the box that goes on the engine. Water under the bridge.

Now that makes total sense to me. Then it is worth it.
