Hose repair?

Get the hose ends and coupler, maybe more as spares and repair it in about 10 minutes or less after talking to Russ on how to.

I have never had one fail me once it is installed correctly.

These are great but don't buy the no-name brands as they look weak and cheap, I would not trust them.

Order for what kind of hose you have, 1 wire, 2 wire, 3/8" or 1/2", etc....

Call Russ.

I use Hose power to repair mine. I take 2 or 3 hundred ft at a time and try to make something good out of them but I can see keeping 6 or 8 of those for emergencies. What is the best way to cut them in the field? Hacksaw?

Make sure you read the instructions, dip end of hose in oil. And after you screw the part onto the hose, back it off a 1/2 turn. That's where everyone goes wrong. If you don't back it off a half turn you won't be able to screw the last piece in all the way. Oh yeah the first part you screw on over the hose sheath, turns counter clockwise, that will drive you crazy if you didn't know that.

Hacksaw with a carbide blade. The wires in the hose will tear the teeth slap off a regular blade.

I just use a chop saw, have not tried a grinder yet.

I'm using the repair fittings and it's only hold for a job then it blows again. The treads are slicing the sheath apart. I tried not threading so tight but then they have leaks. I'll work it out. Need some new hose anyway. Here's the bigger question for me:

Is it better to run with 2 100' hoses or 1 200' hose. Is 2-wire better then wire? Experiences and opinions please.

James
