    House wash wax.

Does anyone know where I can buy Plex-Master house wax/rinse......besides the obvious choice?

I never used it but think it may add to our business model for house washes.

I am game for any alternatives of equal performance (or better).

    Thanks....

I've tried wax from several places, just ordered some Plex-master and haven't used it yet. Russ' Super Spray Wax is the best of everything I have tried. We use it as a separate step after washing and rinsing. I hate getting it on the windows as it makes them hydrophobic and hard to clean with a water fed pole. I did some side by side testing on my own home and mildew returned to the section without wax in about 12 months, and and mildew returned to the section with wax in about 18 months. This was on the north side in the shade. It doesn't change the appearance of the siding when it is dry, in my opinion.

I've never used wax,..but have always heard it's not worth charging the customer as an add on. Customer may expect too much and the spray on wax can't meet the expectations. I suppose if I were to use it,..it would be part of my regular service,..and hope that it made some difference in mold prevention,..shine or something,...and just add it in to the total cost, and not even mention I used it,...maybe it would be noticeable in the fact that it made the work or last longer or look better?,..but it wasn't a special service or charge.

How do you apply it without getting it on the windows? There is a company down here always pushing wax for pool cages and stuff. Just wondering what it really does? seal in the oxidation? Because 90 % of the pool cages have oxidation on them.

I am hoping it will greatly lessen the oxidation and give it some shine.

It will not repair oxidation...only a restoration cleaning can do that, but it will seal the surface so the weather can't get to it.

Envirospec makes plex-master so I assume they are the only ones who sell it. Russ' stuff is very good and less expensive. The only reason I've been trying other waxes is to see if there is anything easier to deal with on the glass. Haven't found one yet
