Machine stalled with 100 foot hose

My machine is 2.7 gpm. I know it's not a commercial machine, but it's working for me for now. I tried a 100 ft pressure hose to see if it would work ok. With the water on, I engaged trigger to get water going through. When i started PW, it ran a bit rough, then stalled. i cleaned the air filter and that didn't help. I found that if I engaged the trigger, then machine ran fine. I let the water run a bit longer, then everything seemed fine. I know that water wasn't hot. The good news is that it worked fine after a few minutes. I'm just concerned it might happen again, or is a hint of something bad coming. Thanks.

A 2.7 gpm machine is a homeowner model. It is made for periodic use. It will fail, soon.

Sometimes you have to warm up the engine a while .
Check the engine oil first.
Some machines have an oil sensor that shuts down the Engine if the oil is low or thin with Gas.
Always shut off the gas when transporting any gas powered machine.
The float in the carb will bounce up and down during transport, the gas has nowhere to go , so it goes into the crankcase,

Hmm.. ..nobody bothered to mention..
on ALL pressureWashers, it is better to start the machine with GunOpen,

..especially ANY system which has a “pressureActuated unloader”

..which is probably 95% ..and any with electric start,
If that’s not enough reason.. hold the gun open inCase there’s debris in the hose, so it doesn't get stuck in the nozzle.

If you didn’t already know a tech which has 30 years experience with almostALL makes and models..

There’s me.. just be ready for “service-dept. answers. We make things last.

Also Ralph's point good, but too big to explain in here.. read my posts on "pump bulletproofing"
..and "High-Volume-Bypass".
I teach people to NOTwaste their money, nor Time.
