Nozzle chart

I've searched this forum and others for information. I'm confused about the nozzle charts. I understand how to find the nozzles for my machine and surface cleaner.

What is confusing me is nozzle selection for lowering the PSI on my surface cleaner. If anyone can help me understand, please help.

To lower the psi you need a bigger hole, ie bigger nozzles. Go to the PSI you want to get and find the closest gpm on the chart and go back and figure out what size you have. To give an example, if you want 500 psi @ 4 gpm you need an 11 or 12 nozzle.

Find your gpm then follow that over to the row of the desired psi and that will be the size tip you need.
For surface cleaners you have to then divide that number by how many tips on the unit.

Single bar with 2 tips - divide by 2
Single bar with 4 tips - divide by 4
You get the point.

This ones easier. Just punch your gpm in and what pressure you want, and it gives you the nozzle size. Cut it in half for your surface cleaner.
