GP tsf2021 water in oil??

No didn't run it dry. Literally just happened within 5 min. Was getting ready for tomorrow the oil was good. Hook my surface cleaner up making sure it's okay. Pump had low pressure. Checked the oil window it was milky. Hopefully I caught it before a major repair is needed. The oil went from looking good to milky that fast. Bummer. First time pump fail so far. Blows

Mine looks milky too when it starts running. If I let the machine sit for a few minutes it clears up. Been like that for a year. I think if that was water in the oil it would have blown up by now. I know that milky oil can indicate water getting in, but it just might be air infusing into the oil also.

First thing I'll drain the oil and check to be sure. I drained just a bit after it was hot and it looked emulsified. Hopefully it's okay then. The pressure did seem pretty low thou.

Sometimes my pump window looks milky, I checked the dipstick and it was ok.

Good catch, always check your pump oil, engine oil, etc...

Capture the oil in a glass jar if possible. Wait till next day and look at the jar. Water will separate to the bottom. Might save a pump rebuild for no problem found.

No water in oil guys. So I'm thinking engine- gx690. It's stalling when under high pressure. Runs fine with open ball valve and down stream nozzles. Using a 15 it's stalling out. Thinking maybe a carb issue.

I agree with Hal that it could be the unloader. I'm sure you have already checked it but make sure the tip isn't plugged itself. All it takes is a tiny pebble that you can barely see.

Take it off just dont cut the gun off or you will have some problems. How old is the unloader well that doesnt matter with the junk they sell now

I'm really not sure how old the unloader is. I bought the trailer used. At least a year. The pump was fully serviced last October just before to owner died. I picked it up in April I believe. Definitely has some hours judging by the adjustment handle. This is my first time trying diagnose problems. Should I dive into the unloader? Beside junk buildup are they worth rebuilding or just replace? What unloader does everyone prefer. 3500 psi 8 gpm ?

Not many that I have heard of rebuild the unloader, kind of like guns, they usually just replace them. If you want to try and rebuild the unloader, the great vendors like Russ and Paul and Jerry can get you the kits but you are waiting for the kit to get there and then taking it off, apart and hoping the kit will do the job where if you just order the unloader (get a spare also so you have one on hand for later on) then just change it out.

Before you remove the unloader, take a good look at it and take some pics so you get the new one correctly installed but also look to see how you can install the new one easier and use another jumper hose with swivel ends or other parts so the next time will not take as long. First time I replaced the unloader I had to replace a couple hoses as their ends were very rusty and the hoses inside did not look all that good so I did not think that they would last too long so they were replaced.

If the unloader is in a bad spot, get one of those brass unloader blocks and move it to a place where it is easier to work on or replace. Send the vendors a picture and they will help you and get you what you need.
