gutter tube

What type drain hose do you use to attach to the gutter and divert somewhere else on the property?
Is this what is used? Just cut the ends off?

I know some use a clear plastic tube, which maybe be better in a lot of ways.. disposable after the job, cheaper, cut it to length.. etc
