What size hot water machine for a good alrounder

Hi Everybody.
I'm looking to upgrade my 3000psi 4gpm machine to a hot water machine for better cleaning power.
I'm currently looking at a BCE machine running at 3600psi and 9gpm running a 28hp fuel injected Subaru engine.
Is this machine a good size for flat concrete work, yet will still work on tin and concrete tile roof.
I will be running a Big Guy 28 as my main surface cleaner.
Any advice or suggestions would be good.
I have to ship it to Australia as well :(

I think I've heard of the BCE machines before. I don't know that much about them though. Have you got quotes from Russ, Paul and Jerry for similar machines? I would buy from 1 of the 3. Even if they are a little higher in price, you have to put a price on customer service. Just remember though with the Subaru engines parts are more expensive and harder to get if something breaks on the engine part. Kohler would be my first choice followed by Honda. I would only by Briggs again if I was in a real bind or desperate for a motor and needed it today.

Most of my machines are Briggs. I hate Briggs. They are without a doubt the least reliable engines out there. I am slowly switching over to Hondas. I am doing it as fast as my briggs take a dump.
I have never heard of BCE machines.

Ahh, must be an Aussie thing.

Hi Scott, the brand they build is called Hydro Max and they are in the US in Georgia.
I was looking at the Honda but really want a fuel injected model for lower running costs.
Link below to their website (which is pretty old and not updated)

Yes I have heard the Briggs are very unreliable. Good luck with the change over!

Hi Vince, sorry I don't know who Russ, Paul and Jerry are. Do you have the business names they trade under. I also need to get the skid on a pallet and shipped to Australia.
I was looking at the Kohler fuel injected 26.5hp but when I googled reviews on that engine, they seemed to be having a lot of issues with just total loss of power randomly. Turn it off and they would start up again perfectly. Where the Subaru engine had awesome reports about reliability in the 28hp version. I currently have a Honda GX390 and it's been awesome, but I wanted a fuel injected model for fuel savings and reliabilty. Yes Briggs is not an option for me to look at as I hear they are not reliable long term.
Is 9gpm hard to handle when cutting in compared to the 4gpm I'm currently using, or it's not to bad?

Brett i have also heard about the problems with the kohler fuel injected engines. My friend got two of them an he didnt even run them for over 1.5 year or maybe a bit longer.Fuel pump was bad from out of the box.I might would steer clear of fuel injection for now but thats just my opinion.Of course kohlor wouldnt cover the bad pump. The last time i bought a machine i called bce an the son got a bit short on the phone when i was asking questions about there machines so i didnt buy anything from them.I ended up buying from The powerwash store an got very well taken care of.

You are definitely going to feel a huge difference on the wand. It would wear most people out pretty fast but the surface cleaner effectiveness makes it worth it. You might think about cutting in with the cold unit if it fits your work flow and staff situation.

I was thinking of jetting it up a size or 2 to cut the 3600 psi down to 3000 for cutting in as well.
The majority will be on the surface cleaner so it should make a massive difference.
Cheers

I have a good friend who liked the bce machines he bought but was treated very poorly by the company
