PWNA has changed the membership dues.

DO I know everything about washing .... uhhhhhh probably not ..... I dont think I said I did . Do I know everything there is 2 know about washing a truck? uhhhhhhhhhh probably 98% .... you may ask me anything Ron ...... what about the enviromental ? you mean capture? bio-degradable chems.? Filtering the h20? re-claiming?

Is it best to wash from the up-stream........ or Down-stream?

Should I two step?

Yes you learn by doing and reading ......... and doing again ........

I really dont mean to cause trouble ... it's just that this pwna thing is not what it's cracked up to be .. And it is my opinion , Which people dont like to read about ... thats okay !

It just seems that you new member's are the one pushing for members.Where's the "head cheese" ? why does it take so long to get a answer? Im sure you guys go to the "members only" section on the pwna BB and say whats happening here... okay lets say the "head cheese " takes part in your conversation ....... where is he (they) ? why wouldnt they be pushing members? The reason you guys are is b/c you want your investment back ... you want to see what you spent your dues for........ You want a return .. And thats okay there is nothing wrong with that .. But my main argument is. If we really wanted to join we would ... Why did past members never re-new? why is there non-members
Bragging up the pwna enstead of sending in there check?

They are waiting for the same re-turn with-out sending in money .
Nothing wrong with that either..

but what makes me different.....than the others?

I ask questions .... they brag how good it is and dont join ......... to me thats talking out of both sides of there mouth .

thats the part that is soooo confusing ........ you got members wanting other members ... and ya got non-members wanting members..... whats wrong ... ? You tell me .

I try and answer this post with words that some can understand but what it comes down to is the questions never gets answered.
so I re-ask in a different way and re-ask in yet a different way ...... YOu think I would learn by know ... But Im a lil slow.......... NO- body really has a answer....

Oh but waite yes they do ........JOIN JOIN JOIN ...... then you will see...... WHY CANT WE SEE NOW >>>>>>>>BEFORE WE SPEND.

I will hush up fer now .... no body really cares any-ways ..... If they really did there would be a whole bunch of new members ...lately .....

bye bye <<>>+<<>>

Ron, there is no question! I for one think you are one of the hardest driving members of the pwna.... But where are the officers?

Beth she is around, but where are the other ones...

How many times do they meet in a month?

To me it just seems like you are the only person looking and pushing for members, and I salute you for your efforts, heck you are going to get one more, will I help, yes, but what can one person do when they are a nobody in someones book?

I had to come back and edit, and apologize for my hot out burst, I am sorry if I affended anyone and did not want to....

I also would assume that you changed the rating on this thread, did you Ron,LOL

Matt I do agree with you on why are the board members not here other then Mike Hughes and a few times Chris Detter, I do believe the answer is they want members as well as non members to use the PWNA BBS.

Still they should be here and should be doing the bulk of replying here too.

You asked where they meet, twice a year at the PWNA conventions, all other times by conferance calls on the phone which each pays for out of his/her own pocket.

Misconception about all the money they make, they make nothing, all do it free because they want it to improve and grow.

Dan S.

You're entitled to your opinion and no one says otherwise, it is how you go on and on and knock the PWNA that gets to people.

State your case and end it, period.

Jon. thanks for replying... In my opinion, they should not make any thing... they asked for it , give it to them...

At&t pioneers are a non-profit group and there dues is only 30.00 with the spouce is a free member.... Why do they make it, because they are all for the group not the profit... let me ask why they make it.... Not because they make money, because they want too... they still send out for a meeting once a year for a group over all, why do I know this, my girlfriend is a officer...
dues is only 50.00 and they still send the president and vice president to meeting all over the united states....

With 300 members there is 90,000.00 to go go around, where is the money, nobody wants the money, they want progress...

Heck mafia would make a go at this price...

For the record, Beth is not a board member...........(yet).

I can't even muster up a reply to this thread..........but I'll try.

Changing the dues is a step in the right direction. I look forward to the year ahead.

The question on my mind is what Dan is talking about with hype.........exactly what is being promised that is not delivered?? For the most part, the PWNA does not make promises we don't keep. Where's the hype? I don't see it. We are in the process of making major changes in the organization, especially in the last year and in the near future. These things take time, and they also take money. Money comes from membership dues...........the more members we have, the more programs we can implement.

Its amazing how many times we can have this very same conversation on these boards..........time and time again. Stay tuned............

Jon, yes Matthew is my given name I just shorten it for ease,

melody is my girlfriend, not my wife...

How did you know?

Matt

I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure all PWNA board members read the posts on all bbs from time to time. As for myself, I have only recently started reading them since the PWNA BBS conception. I have to say that there is alot of misconception about the PWNA. I can not understand why anyone would not want to go to a convention and learn something new about the pressure washing industry, make new friends, network and get a few days R&R. I've been in this business for a while and I can not get over the wealth of information that I walk away with each convention. I go back to my business all fired up and full of new ideas. The benefits definitely outweight the costs of membership and the cost of travel.

I would think that if there are questions for or about the PWNA, they should be addressed at the PWNA BBS, after all thats why it's there. I'm sure you would come in contact with more board members.

Well said Paul and also probably one of the reasons that you are successful with your business.

And to top it off your membership $$$ is helping the PWNA, which represents us fellow Powerwashers, to be more successful in doing so. This is the part that alot of people don't understand. Its a 2 way street. Its not just "What about ME ME ME and what do I I I get for MY MY MY money".

And the bottom line is its a BOOST for your Moral which means a major BENEFIT to YOU and YOUR BUSINESS.

I can't seem to make this point any clearer. Some people will get it and some won't no matter how hard one tries to help them see this.

Anyway as the old saying goes "For each his own". I believe in the PWNA because I believe they are trying there best to represent us and that makes alot of points in my book.

I would like to know of another POWERWASHING organization thats out there that can top the PWNA. I doubt there is any national organization or any organization for that matter that pretty much represents almost exclusively us Powerwashers that can be found besides the PWNA. THat says alot. No body else gives a Damn which is unfortunate. Another reason why I support the PWNA.

While you are more likely to encounter board members of the PWNA on the official PWNA bbs.................this forum preceded it, and was sanctioned by the PWNA.

This forum is supposed to be read and participated in by the members of the Internet Response Team of the PWNA which includes myself, Doc, and Chris Detter. Of course, everyone else is welcome, and we hope to see more of you, Paul.

Mike a suggestion,

Is there a way to have all post here linked or sent to the PWNA board in PWNA Questions and Answers forum?

And the replies linked or sent back here, that way they would be answered in a timely manner.

Sure it would be nice if all would go to the PWNA and post their questions there but some just will not do that for reasons of their own.

Jon,
I like that idea but I have a feeling that all bb's want to stay seperate from each other.

I always thought that this bb(PWI) would have been better served if it was given to PWNA since Ron pretty much gave it away. Mike of course is doing a fabulous job but it would have gave the PWNA bb a nice boost from its infancy stage.

I have said this at the start.PWNA does not need its own bb, they could have a members only section on this bb. The second best choice would have been for Ron to have given this site to PWNA

If the PWNA directors weren't posting the site numbers would be Zero. Ask yourself this, what are they doing that isn't done on this bb. This is a old subject and I am sorry to bring it back.

David:p

David I agree I made a mistake I should have given the site to the PWNA. Maybe mike will do that. (I have no objection except that they have talked about locking it down) And you know I don’t agree with that.

Never be sorry David I always want to hear your opinions, I may share your views in another year if I don’t see changes.

David you have a good holiday.
:D :)

Why can't someone answer Shawns question regarding PWNA "Re-certification, & Continuing Education Credit's". It tell me that the powers to be just don't have set in place rules and standards.

David

Again!!!

Go to pwnabbs.org under the PWNA question and answer section to read more about it.

Hello Everone,
It is my pleasure to announce that the PWNA Board of Directors has just approved a revised dues structure for the organization. My personal thanks to the board for allowing this restucturing to finally take place.

Effective January 1, 2003, annual dues for PWNA members will be as follows:

Professional Membership / Contract Cleaner Firms

1. with gross Sales under $150,000...........$195.00
2. with gross Sales under $500,00.............$250.00
3. with gross Sales $1 million and under.....$350.00

Associate Membership,
Distributors, Suppliers, Manufacturers.........$399.00

Corresponding Membership
Organizations or individuals such as libraries, consultants, accounts, engineers.....................................$195.00

New members will be invited to join at these levels. Renewing members will begin paying dues at these levels for the 2003 dues.

This action is an outgrowth of an active board of leaders who have responded to suggestions and input from members, especially via the new Bulletin Board service as part of the PWNA website- www.pwna.org.

Thanks again

Chris Detter/ President PWNA
