I am getting ready to put out 5000 door hangers for pressure washing and 5000 for Fence staining in the Houston area. Hopefully it will generate some business. Does anyone have any experience using door hangers and do you he ay idea of what percentage to expect from them? I have attached both below.

We use them but, don't use them to drum up business (per-say). We use them more for Marketing and "Brand Recognition". Certain times of the year get better responses than others (for us). Spring is best. Be smart in the areas you choose to hang. We generally hang about 20,000 a year.

Any marketing is better than no marketing

After every residential job we put one on 5 or 6 of there neighbors. Like Guy said, it's not necessarily expected to get "more" business (especially right away), but all about building the brand. They see our trucks, they see our mailers, they get a door hanger.......over time, when they do need some cleaning, hopefully they remember us.

Bingo!!!!

5,000 at a time.... yes we'll hang an area twice in a year......yes we hire a team of about 6 people.

I would assume hanging an area only once would be a waste of money. It would probably pay off better hanging 5k to the same area 3 or 4 times in one year.

Absolutely.....repetition, repetition, repetition......we hang the same areas but also branch out in new areas for responses .....kinda like fishing.

Door hangers, like EDDM, can have a "Delayed Effect"....You may not get immediate response but at some point something will trigger the customer to call. You want to drive them to visit your website....they'll see your yard signs, your truck(s), post cards, etc.......at some point they put 2 & 2 together....again it may not be immediate (nothing is)....but it's building a long term plan to make your Company more "Visible" in your area..........Have a Plan!!!

Do not have much luck with them. But repetition may be where I can improve at.
