Anyone use The Fohmer for house cleaning?

Just looks like something else to lug around and to break down...Stick to the tried and proven DS or exjet.. Looks like a damn big bit of kit to find a spot for on your rig.

Please explain why it is more professional and less damaging,..considering DS'ing isn't damaging at all neither and gets the job done very efficiently,..which makes it a professional way.. And I assume X-Jetting isn't an issue for those who do it.

Is downstreaming using the soap tip on pressure washer? Also, how do you get soap to foam and cling like the fohmer? What soap do you guys use for houses that can be used on all surfaces and has cleaning power (maybe with some bleach in it?)

Hi Ben. Since you don't know what down streaming is, You really need to keep researching the net or purchase some literature! Not trying to be a wise guy however, You have sooooooo much to learn. Most of us learned it on our own.

Yes, Down streaming is using a soap nozzle along with a chemical injector.

I started my business back in 1991 however, I started pressure washing, helping a painter back in 1987 and learned many things through the years and I can say with absolute confidence, You don't need a cleaner to stick like foam. You simply need a good mixture.

Question, What kind of machine are you trying to use? What is the GPM and PSI? Is it direct drive, Belt drive or gear drive?

Clean2be... thank you for your input. It's clear I have a lot to learn, thank you. Not sure why you felt the need to point that out. It was a simple question, man. Most have been helpful or just dont respond. This is new to me... if you had a question about something I was far more knowledgeable in, I wouldn't criticize you the way you come across.

I realize I dont NEED the foam, I want it.

This forum seemed to me like a place where "iron sharpens iron". If I'm wrong, I will have no problem going elsewhere but most are very helpful. I have already made some good contacts.

We are all just trying to succeed, right?

God Bless

Ben, I would not worry about foam for the moment. Foaming has draw backs which standard down streaming doesn't have. Unless you enjoy climbing ladders all day long, You won't(In most cases) be able to reach the peak of the larger, Modern homes with foam while standing on the ground. Another thing to keep in mind is you can cover much more sq. footage much quicker with standard down streaming.

What type and size machine are you working with?

I use this in my standard mix (40 gallons SH, 20 oz roof snot, that's it!) . It works on everything and rinses clear on windows. 1/2 oz per gallon of SH. Get a jrod with the right tips to softwash/ downstream.

Oh and downstreaming simply means injecting chemicals after the pump(downstream). It is just a way to apply chemicals on a surface. Downstreaming is the easiest, also.
