Shipping

So, I just paid 12.99 for ground shipping for a swivel and 1 gallon of chemical.....

Getting tired of paying half my order for shipping...

Is there a decent provider of power wash goods that does not charge exorbitant shipping charges?

Thanks.

I feel your pain...If you order more, shipping will "shrink" lol I can order 2 things and pay $12.99 for shipping, or buy 20 things and also pay 12.99... Shipping is not that bad to be honest, especially when you compare prices in local stores...of course they won't have what you need, but they will be able to order that for you for premium price lol

Just part of doing business, include it in pricing of jobs.

Try shopping locally. You will pay double, triple, quadruple what you are paying from the vendors on the net and suddenly a shipping charge won't seem like such a big deal. Oh yeah all the UAMCC vendors are "decent". It is the shipping companies that are charging you. Are you a member of the UAMCC? You can get discounts that way. That ball valve will save you $12.99 worth of aggravation alone.

Thats crazy griping about getting a gallon -8 to 10lbs of liquid shipped for 12 bucks thats actually pretty cheap turn that 12 into profit an stop sweating the small stuff.

The 12.99 really isn't that bad. Look at the actual cost per mile to operate a motor vehicle. Plus the tax you would pay at a local store if they even have what you need.

I feel your pain with the shipping but it really isn't bad when you consider "It comes to you". I will almost always pay the extra on shipping since it saves my time from driving around town and remember, The extra miles put on your work truck cannot be taken back off. One thing I always do is, When I go to write an estimate, Once I figure what I have to make on the job, I almost always add a $25.00 charge on top of everything else. It helps to cover the little extras.

If you don't feel you can get away with adding an additional $25.00 into the price of the job, Try slipping in a $5.00 or 8.00 "shop supplies" charge into the next jobs which will cover the shipping for a small order. Every Auto shop does it and almost no-one questions it!

I consider my time involved in running around town gathering up parts. By the time I get everything I could have washed three houses. I think that more than pays for the shipping.

There are some that charge stupid shipping. Espec is one. I don't deal with them. I work with people that a large part of their margin is not shipping. I like it that way.

Ok team, point taken, I will not complain again about shipping...

Very verbal, opinionated and helpful group here.... let's go make some money!
