Asphalt cleaning chems?

Absolutely nothing with any form of solvent in it. Asphalt being oil based will just dissolve if you put solvents on it.. Be more specific .what are you trying to clean off for a start.

Mostlikey drive-thru lanes. Quite a few are asphalt. They easy grime like food isn't a concern. But what about heavy oil staining? Is this where dry brush on is required or something else?

IMHO if you try to shift the oil stains you will shift the Asphalt. Interesting none of the regulars have chipped in here.

I would agree. Asphalt is very soft & can be easily damaged by pressure or chems. Personally we don't offer asphalt cleaning (Stain Removal) as I feel it's a waste of the customers money & my time. We advise them that it's better to seal coat the asphalt....better money spent.

Regulars might be working......like myself.

Asphalt is a real bear. Like Guy we don't offer it either except to maybe rinse some mud off or something like that.

I will be doing 20,000sq ft of blacktop asphalt. Dust/Grime softwash using Water 50:1 EBC misted over surface to aid in suspension of dirt and grime and a firehose to rinse. Hot water ball valve no pressure removal of some bird feces stains. We specified oil stains and other chemical spills wont be removed as anything needed to accomplish that will likely damage the asphalt it self however most soda stains and general buildup should rinse off easily as in our onsite demo.

What chems ir detergents are best for asphalt drive-thru lanes? Banks and restaurants

Oil is oil and oil stains on asphalt (which is also oil) tend to like each other and bond deep. You can get build up off with alkaline but deeper satins get married into the asphalt. Plus using higher pressure with hot water usually is not a good mix.
