Has anyone ever used a company called Sign Post to help drive reviews?

Has anyone heard of this company?

They called today...I hung up on them...started out saying he noticed how many reviews I had on Google...some blah blah compliments on how great they look...a little more blah,, blah about my web site looks great.... and wanted to ask how I go about getting all those great reviews....add more blah blah blah about how he's just amazed . I though it was a contractor calling for advice like I get all the time. Once I explained how, (it was a very short answer) because by now I was getting the feeling he was a salesman, he started in with his pitch....and I said "we're all set, thanks" and hung up.

I listened to his speech and yes he wants as many of our customers emails as possible so they can hound them. In some way I like the idea of all the follow ups to our customers but i'm a bit leary. I cant find a contractor who has ever used them so the search continues.
I really got burnt with the pay per click scam last year and don't want to get into another yearly contract.

I do email invoices and have and many customers sort of try not to give me their email because they don't want solicitations. That's just the ones that speak up. I know I don't want constant emails from somebody that performed a service for me. But overall I guess it is good business marketing.

Oh yeah and a company like that wouldn't think twice about using your customer info to sell the demographic to someone else either. I wouldn't want that crap happening to my customers.

Yeah it seems sketchy. I will pass. Thanks guys

That's a bad road to go down giving anyone your clients email.

They are now out of your control

I NEVER give any clients info out without first talking with them
After speaking to them again I will never turn over our sales info to anyone unless you purchase our company. They wanted to basically hound all our old customers into leaving referrals. Now we clean 1500-1800 resi homes a year. They charge per customer. Not interested we do this in house anyway.....

Wow! That's "Freaky Scary"... Even the thought of sharing my customers email address's sends chills down my spine!!!!!

I do the same as Doug does. If the potential customer won't provide their email address, I won't write an estimate. Too many scammers out there.

I get the same hounds from time to time and once they shell out their pathetic little bombastic pitch, I simply tell them, Hey Doc, I'm busier than a one legged cat in a sand box and hang up the phone...

So how much to purchase.
