Supply / Garden hose recommendation

New to business: what kind of supply hose is most popular for residential driveway cleaning? Anything from Home Depot / Lowe's / Northern Tool work? I'm thinking of buying two 50' sections and I'm wondering if ya'll use quick connects? Thanks for any and all replies.

I run two 100' sections of the red commercial 3/4 inch never kink from Lowes. It has held up well. Guys seem to like the Mean Green as well.

Hey thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. The unit I'm pretty sure I'll buy is 5.6 GPM @ 2500. Should I have any concern going to a bigger 3/4" vs 5/8" supply on a machine with those specs? I've also read on here about 50' vs 100' supply lengths. I'm sure it's all relative to the supply out of the spigot.

Your replies are greatly appreciated. No doubt I'm a noob trying not to waste money and have to buy supplies twice over just to save a buck. LOL

What size are the threads on your garden hose connections? We have a different system som garden hoses and connections here in Norway. What size are the threads on this unit, whit the strainer on the inlet.

You guys don't have problems with Mean Green kinking? I've been trying Mean Green a few months and mine kinks like crazy.

Here is the hose I've used for the last 4-5 years. You have to work to make it kink. I got mine on sale for $15.00 for 50' at Walmart and 100' was $25.00,...but even 4-5 years ago it was a steal,..Not extra not heavy neither. Funny,..because I have customers ask me about it and if it's available or is it a "commercial" hose,..I tell them Walmart, Ha,Ha,..

It is really nice hose and is even worth full cost.

Yes to the point it is becoming annoying. I have had it for two years and in the last couple of months it is kinking all the time, at any part of the run, not just at the reel. I have to check to make sure the tank is getting water.

Sorry to hijack a thread, but I just bought a marine battery chemical sprayer with a hose reel. It has 150' of clear hose. Seems to me, when I go to wind the hose up, unless I have a helper, the hose is gonna get all turned and kinked up. Is it ok for me to routinely remove the gun via hose clamp? I was always taught not to remove those things unless you have to.

I use a 100 ft good year industrial grade hose connected to a SS A-Frame reel that feeds my tank. Never had any problems with kinks. About to install a Hudson float valve so i never have to worry about over flowing the tank again. More time to work and less time having to check my tank level and water hoses = productive time.

Stretch the hose out bring the gun back to the reel. Start reeling.
