Water dragon

I have a 10 GPM Water Dragon Skid. Only 250 hours on it and it's on it's 3rd transformer, the burner solenoid went out at 50 hours. Other than that no problems. Mine runs about 190 to 195 degrees.

Is the transformer for the burner? I'm not sure how the hot water side works, I only have a cold water unit.

The transformer is for the burner. It's a 12 volt system. Other than the few glitches, it's actually the best machine I've owned in all 11 years I've been in business.

Just about every pressure washer out there is made from universal parts and assembled close to the same way. Everybody uses off the shelf items and assembles them together to give you a pressure washer unit. You have to figure out which set of pressure washer parts you have the best support for in your area. Your 2 main issues that most run into are engine and burner issues. Most go with a Honda or Kohler, and for burner I would personally stay away from 12v and go 120v. Most vendors on this site won't sell you crap, although all the parts are human made so things do fail.

Wow Vince at least it heats the water to more than 150 degrees. My hydrotek that is less than a year old will not even get much over 150 degrees.Called hydrotek they act like a bunch of bullies that act like they can do no wrong.I had several an never had any problems but when you do they will talk crap an even curse you if you suggest there product has something wrong with it.I would never ever buy another one or deal with the powerwash store again.I have a over priced non heating pile of shit for a washer. If i wanted to buy cold water i would haver bought from envirospec an had a nice unit like i sold to get this hydrojunk lol.

I had the same problem with both of my Hydrotek units. 1 of which I sold and replaced it with a Water Dragon. I put a 3.5 Gallon Per Hour - 80 degree fuel nozzle on them and got the heat up to 175 degrees on both of them. I have a friend that swears by Hydrotek machines and they run flawless. Keep in mind though that his are 7 years old and older.

I live about 30 minutes away from Hydrotek. I go in there for rush repairs and stuff I'm not sure about fixing myself. I do have to give them credit for their shop mechanic though. He is probably 1 of the best in the industry that I've come across.

I can believe that Envirospec would give you problems. I have had John Allison call me and rip me a new one when I decided to not go with his equipment. I have also had terrible service from his parts side, by them shipping something that I did not want and claim it was better. Nothing like having hose last two weeks that normally last 8 months. I have had nothing but excellent service from Powerwashstore. They are not the same. Paul and his crew are excellent.
Vince, I am about of the opinion that you are really hard on equipment. It seems everything that you have that I have had excellent results with, you have problems.
I have a fleet of Water Dragons, and though there have been some problems, over all they have proven far more reliable than other equipment I have used. Mine wasn't ignitors which Vince called transformers. Mine was thermostats. However, I never had a problem with Powerwashstore stepping up to the plate and taking care of it.

Spend a little more and get the Big Block Koehler better than the Honda engine

You aren't the first person to tell me that I'm really hard on equipment Scott. I maintain everything like it should be but on I run my machine sometimes 10 to 14 hours a day non stop except to throw in an extra 5 gallons of diesel and 5 gallons of gas. I have a 20 gallon diesel tank and a 18 gallon gas tank for my Water Dragon.

On a side note though my 2015 F-450 just turned a year old with 46,000 miles on it and not 1 bit of problems except for routine service. Best truck I've owned in years. If I stay in the business then I'll replace it a year from now with a new 2017.

Scott my situation was total different envirospec has always treated me right i had a issue with brand new machine John said bring it here we fix it.The kohlor rep was there also he said if its not the carb just change the engine out.The deal with hydrotek the machine will not get to temp spec.I called and email powerwash store ended up spending money to verify what i already knew that the machine wasnt heating to temp specs on a temp guage. So they told me to clean the coil with muratic acid.Didnt sound right to me so i check an balance system with hydrotek they stated no way dont use that. This was after somebody from powerwash store said they just got off the phone with a guy from hydrotek.Anyway i am stuck with a machine that will not perform to specs.I have always had great service from espec.I am a one man show i do not in anyway claim to be a large outfit but when i spend money on a product i want what i pay for and should get it.

I would look into Power Line Industries trailer packages. I researched countless pressure washing companies & units, and I went with their Pro 1 package. it operates a 23 hp Vingurd engine, 115 v burner, 66 series Genral pump, 330 gal tank, true 2 guns system,2 100 ft high pressure hose reels, 1 100 ft water hose reel. I had a 4000 w generator & reclaim system custom installed on it. I can operate at 3700 psi, 212 deg F at 8bpm!! I will be adding a soft wash roof system to the trailer as well...cant do all this with hydrteck or water dragon units! I looked at both Hydroteck and Water Dragon units and was not impressed by their engineering designs. They both and to many limitations in my opinion. I work in the oil field and know a top of the line design when i see one....POWWWW check it out on my web site! Good Luck and be Safe out there!

Power wash store actually had to have the burner on my machine special built sense the exhaust goes out the side and not the top. I had a 41 inch height limit I had to stick to so I can still get the truck in underground parking garages.

I looked at PowerLine industries a few years ago....found out A) they were really overpriced and B) they sub their builds out to a company here called Ram Tek and C) Ram Tek doesn't service equipment, even ones they build....at least they didn't at that time.

I have a water dragon 10GPm and love it....has been great and has the Honda....only think I don't like about it is that the Coil sweats when not using the heater due the exhaust vented back onto the coils....other than that LOVE IT..

With the personal one on one service that i received, and them being a small bis, i will be going back to them for a second unit soon. They had the best customer service of all the companies I talked to. I did not feel they were over priced compared to the competition. Maybe i just got a really good deal. they included all pro grade accessories along with the trailer unit itself, and on top of that it includes equipment training and marketing class that was awesome (no other company offered these extras). Personally I don't see the reason to ever out service any pressure washing equipment, as all components can easily be worked on in your garage with a little know how...just might have to order a few parts. But to each his own and this one fit like a glove... for me anyways!

Briggs and Stratton Vinguard is a sold engine and ill take it over a Honda (pay more only for the name). Maybe i was misunderstood. The reason i chose my trailer unit is that it being my first unit, i wanted no limitations. I do see great value in Water Dragon truck skid units, and i will look into them for my 2nd unit here soon, and dedicated it strictly to residential. I will elaborate here in depth. 1) frame work. i wanted a fully metal welded tralier unit..on wood ( to me that is a no brainer) 2) water tank supports. fully welded steel cage. (no ratchet straps, or metal tie downs...think you have 330+gallons of water and you have to stop on a dime on beltway 8...where is tank going, yep right in your lap 3) water reclaim system and 4000 w generator(with hoses and a vacuberm) 4) all cleaning accessories included 5) There is not one loose hose on this unit. all hoses are secured to the floor or on reels with lock pins. Check out videos of other trailer units and see how there are hoses just laying all over, and tanks taking up room that could be better utilized. To me this is a sign of being unorganized and inefficientey, in turn this is a direct reflection of the quantity of service you provide and the client. i don't have time to build a trailer form the ground up..but would be a fun project. That might me my an idea for my 3rd unit. Overall I wanted a trailer of highest grade engineering and parts which dose cost more. In my opinion this was the best one to fit my business plan. I will soon post a walk around video of my unit, and you can compare it to the others and judge for yourself... this trailer unit fits in my garage where i don't have to pay rent... just had to give up room for my hunting stuff
