Pump setup

I am going to put together a 12v pump setup for laying sealer on concrete. This will be way faster than my pump up sprayer that I use now. I was considering a Devalan or Shurflo pump. I will simply siphon from a 5 gallon bucket of sealer. What pump would you recommend? I was think of something between 2.5 and 3.5 gallon. Maybe even put on a accumulator.

I just went the easy route and got one of those kits with a pump and tank from tractor supply. Gotta buy a battery and charger as well but everything is mounted and plumbed and ready to go

The hose is only like 15 feet long but you can easily fix that

Jim,

Is the concrete sealer water based or solvent based?

You need lower GPM for applying sealer. more like 1 GPM would suit your needs. And one of those TSC tanks is gonna be a PITA when it comes time to spray another product. How are you gonna rinse it out? If you put your own rig together as a pump and battery and hose,...you can simply use a bucket of whatever product you choose,..and no rinsing out a goofy "universal" tank. A sprayer cart like this is much better.

You have the pump and battery in the boxes and put your 5 on the front of the cart?

They put a plug at the bottom of the tractor supply tank. Makes for easy rinsing of the tank. The cart looks great though. I just picked up something in a hurry and its suited me well and was cheap

Gpm pums depends if you are sealing or coating. Using a sealer like Ez Nano a 2.5 gpm if just fine. If its a coating like Seal n Lock 1gpm. Northern tool nsq pumps are great and usually local pick-up. I bought the 26gal 2.5 gpm sprayer kit and converted the pump and accessories to a hand truck. And now use the 26gal tank for my downstream tank. $130 on sale
