Down Stream Nozzle Kit - please help me understand

im140.6

Hi everyone!
I got a nozzle kit for my 5.6 GPM that includes:

0040 - soap high
0015 - rinse high

2540 - soap low
2515 - rinse low

I know the "00" and "25" refer 0 degree and 25 degree and "40" and "15" is the size opening of the nozzle.

So, if I understand correctly, the 0040 is for shooting my chems up high and the 0015 is to rinse up high? Likewise, the 2540 is to spray my chems on the wall and the 2515 is for rinsing?

Thanks

Hey Miguel,..you got it right,..but at some point you will want to be able to rinse with the soap nozzles. Think about getting a soap injector by-pass,.or a remote unit to turn the soap on and off.

*As time goes,.you will end up with a "gang" of nozzles that is many more than what you ever thought. I am at 9 on my set.

I carry only 2 bangers on resi. Hi's on one set. Lows on another. For commercial I'll use the 4 banger.

Hi Jeff! Thanks for the reply. I actually bought a bypass kit with my nozzle injector kit. I just felt stupid not quite remembering if I should flip the bypass handle for the right nozzle. LOL

thanks!

A easy way to remember when switching is the biggest holes in the tips are for soap draw.
Took a while for that to sink into my thick skull but I think I remember now. Haha! Thanks for the tip, much appreciated!

Just to clarify Miguel,...once the ball valve on the by-pass is open,.you can use whatever nozzle you choose. If you really want to up your game,..check into the remotes,.They are very easy to make yourself for around $40.00-$50.00 for a remote that will work through buildings and as far as you'll ever need. You can spend more money if you want to,.but it's not necessary at all.

I weld my bangers together myself,.. and/or even just add singles when needed,..if you don't weld,.any weld shop can do this for very little cost.

Also,.a nozzle that is overlooked is a 5 degree,..these are very handy,..especially when wand-less,..which I prefer.

That's the beauty part with an injector bypass, it gives you the ability to use any nozzle you desire and the increase in water volume is fantastic when rinsing. All without breaking a line open.

Hi Jeff
Your comment RE: making a remote down stream injector interests me greatly. I take it from your comment that you have built one yourself.. If so are you prepared to share the technical how to's on making one. I have big issues with soap application and I think it is due largely to the fact my pressure hose is 55 metres in length. I would be dead keen on making a remote unit to overcome my problems.

Just to clarify,..I have shared this information many times on a couple different boards. If you can do even basic wiring you can make a remote unit . These are the two main components. In my earlier builds I used a different solenoid,..but I am liking this one better,..you can expect to get about a month out of a solenoid,..depends on your work load of course. The wiring of these are very easy and can be done in minutes. I mount it all inside a plastic ammo can like the one shown here,.but I buy them a Walmart. I solder and dielectric grease all connections.

Once the unit is wired and set to go,..it's time to put it inline. Typically gets wired into your 12V PW engine,..which is self explanatory. The solenoid has two ports,..an inlet and an outlet,..after installing hose barbs you simply splice into your soap injector hose. Now this solenoid will act as a shutoff and on for your soap injector,.and allows the use of low pressure nozzles when rinsing.

*This remote will not fix a soap draw issue,..You will have to address that separately.

I also made a standalone unit,..all you need to do is place a small wheelchair battery inside the box with the other components.

Thanks for that Jeff. Went to Ebay and found a similar remote before you replied. About the same $$"s and free shipping to New Zealand.
I'm going to address the soap draw issue with a FL-3203 12 volt 5ltr/min 100psi caravan water supply pump.
Just need to source a 12 volt solenoid at the right price in NZ.
