I have a 30 litres buffer tank and if im doing a house wash with my soap tips i end up running my buffer tank dry about 7 mins...it seams that the garden hose cant keep up with the water flow...it is the standard size garden hose im not sure ifvu van buy larger diameter ones...what can i do?
My system is 21lpm

First off....pleae fill out your signature...

30 litres is about a 7 gallon tank....what GPM is your machine....if your using a soap tip then you are going to exhaust your supply rather quickly especially if the home is only putting out 4-5 gpm at best. Sounds like you need a bigger tank and make sure it's full before starting.

You need a much larger buffer tank. Here in MD. the average water flow on residential (well fed ) is 5 gpm. That's 18.92 Liter's. The supply could never keep up with a 22lpm pump.

You need more than 60 gal and less than 500. I had a 60 buffer tank on my 8 gal machine in the van and it was not enough, about 30 % of time we would drain it due to poor house water pressure.Note: I did learn on this form you can add another hose into the tank from another hose bib thus 2 lines going in and that helped a little, da.

I now have 500 gal on the flat bed and 2 machines.I usually arrive with 150-ish gallons get set up get to work and it fills up using (one machine) When I see the end of the job in site I turn off the water and run the tank down to 150 or so. I think it helps on gas mileage to travel with less. To have options 150 gallon tank would be min that I would go with. At every level running out of water is one of the more frustrating things that happens in the field all just my opinion.

So i have been doing research...my supply hose is only 12mm inside diameter i can buy a hose that is 19mm inside diameter i think this might be a good start to try. Only because i have a mobile setup, pressure washing is only another part to my business..I'm actually a lawn mowing company doing pressure washing as an extra service..and my float tank is hard to modify

Larger hose will definitely help however, check the water supply at the supply to see how many litres it will provide. If the supply cannot provide enough flow, it won't matter what size hose you have.

I run a 3200psi machine that consumes 22litres a minute. I have a 40 ltr supply tank for the pump. The only time I ever have issues with running out of water is when I'm in a country area where they rely on a pump supply from a rain water tank or similar and then it is only if I'm using my surface cleaner full pressure.
The tank is supplied with a standard garden hose from the householders outside tap. Is your float valve in the tank letting in a full flow of water.. It could have a restrictor of some sort in it.
