Air compressor air pump cfm??

Picking up a used 5.5hp ridgid 8 or 9 gal compressor. I'm not sure of the cfm output also the pump needs some work its only building 30psi.
If I replace the 5.5hp with a 9hp or 11hp will the compressor produce more cfm? Also if the pump is totally shot I'd definitely use the 11hp spare engine, what matching pump do you suggest to produce more cfm? I don't have an air pump yet mostlikey will buy a 1/2. Thanks again.

Electric powered, if so 5.5 is all you will get out of 120v at 15-20 amps. Anything bigger and you need to step up your power game. Gas engine, you can up the power of the engine sure, pump probably won't pump any more. You will just waste more fuel with a larger gas engine on the same pump.

In terms of the cfm, find the model # on the unit and google should answer the cfm question.

I haven't seen an electric ac run an air pump. The cheapest is the harbor freight wheel barrow. I think it's 9 or 11 cfm. Plenty guys use it. Mine is 14 cfm and I soft washed a 2.5 story building with it today. 1/2" pump. Ultimately it depends on your budget.

You have now!

Our Outlaw Jr. Pump system uses an electric compressor with an Air Diaphragm pump. This is only possible because the pump we use is hyper air efficient.

I don't see anything. Is there a video posted I missed?
