Is Dawn Escapes Dish Soap, Caribbean Breeze Stable in Bleach?

I really prefer the scent of Dawn Escapes Dish Soap, Caribbean Breeze but is it okay to mix and store with bleach the way original scent is? The in ingredients appear to be the same:
Sulfuric acid, mono-C10-16-alkylesters, sodium saltsSulfuric acid,mono-C10-16-alkylesters, sodium saltsNo 68585-47-7 10 - 15
Poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl),alpha-sulfo-omega-hydroxy-,C10-16-alkyl ethers, sodium saltsPoly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl),alpha-sulfo-omega-hydroxy-, C10-16-alkyl ethers,sodium saltsNo 68585-34-2 1 - 5
Amine oxides, C10-16-alkyldimethyl Amine oxides,C10-16-alkyldimethylNo 70592-80-2

Thanks in advance! I have also found that a little of the granular scent boosters for laundry work well whn added to roof mix or house wash mixes!

As a general rule, you never mix acids with bleach, never.

Plus, there are some quality SH stable surfactants on the market which if used as directed, are very cost effective.

Just about all the vendors like Russ at Southside Equipment and Paul at the Powerwashstore.com sell surfactants that are bleach stable and will not weaken the bleach, cause issues, not make deadly chlorine gas that will harm you and people around you and other issues that can happen when you mix things that should not be mixed. Stick to the products that are made to work together and stay safe.

I'm pretty sure Daniel is just looking for a scent masking agent

The fact that he's simply trying to mask the smell of SH Doesn't make it any more bleach stable. Even at that,.very hard to mask the smell of bleach,..especially to people aren't around it every day,..and even more especially with a roof mix,..where the percentage of SH is alot more.

Now,.with that said there is a reason some guys would rather use Dawn,..and it h been used for years as a soap for DS'ing and X-Jetting,..... It's because it's readily available and cheap per use. Although I totally agree the better bang for your buck is a 5 gallon bucket of soap,..even with shipping. And these soaps are compatible,..win, win...

As far as using with SH,.. It's not a big issue when downstreaming from a 5 gallon bucket,.where,.the mix won't weaken hardly at all when used up quickly. Where as in a roof mix tank,.the Dawn can sit in there and react with the SH over time. Potentially ruining the mix and making it smell really noxious,..and,..it can be noxious to breathe.

I did 2 years of reading all the post here before we started washing. I have a window cleaning company.
If you look at the dates of the "Dawn" and "Gain" post they taper off as professional mixes were offered. They cost way less a use and work better.
In the window industry some window washers still brag they use dawn, I ask them why they pay more for soap. I've never seen a "dawn" guy that measured so they don't even know what they pay per use.

Prolly gonna get pummeled for this but have no issues with gain in my roof mix. Even if i dont use all of it and it doesnt get used for another 10-14 days still whips roof stains, smells the same as when it was fresh? Same with house washing. I was buying one of the most popular brands of house washing soap on the market (talked about daily on these forums)Had trouble with it leaving white residue and was a real bich to rinse ( yes i was using correct amount) so Back to the rookie "gain" i went. Different strokes for different folks. More than one way to get her done. Not knocking anyones methods, just very what works for me.

Hey Robin, Gain has been used for years now without issue by many. I think Chris Tucker started using it years ago when the old RCIA board was relevant. By the way, there's nothing wrong with posting the name of a product you didn't have luck with, really not considered bad mouthing, I've seen it done numerous, it's actually what these board are about.

The dish soaps just aren't as cost effective when you add it up,..but the use of dish soaps is common because there are alot of guys who just don't want to spend $115.00 or more at one time,..when they can go to Walmart every other day and spend $5.00. Many of us have been down that road. So,.you're right,..to each his own.
