Help me pick a pump

SO my Cat 45 just exploded on me.. I got it used and it was a nightmare, but it paid for itself several times over.
I do general housewashes and driveways, nothing major. My budget is around 400 dollars. I have a "15hp" predator in a belt drive setup. My Cat 45 blew the back cover off after the sight glass decided to come loose. (I literally check it for tightness every day i use it). I have never put a pump setup together, but I would assume that the unloader is still good. Can I just take mine off and put it on the new pump?

I have seen everyone on here recommending the TS2021, which is slightly above what I would like to spend.
I have found it online for 439.. is it cheaper elsewhere?

Is there anything wrong with the General pump EP1313S34

I can get that one at northern locally for 354+tax
or is there another pump i should be looking at?

Thanks for the help!

Your Cat runs at 1645 RPM to make 4.5 GPM. A TS2021 makes 5.5 at 1450. A pulley, bushing (20 mm vs 24 mm) and belts change would be required.

Spend the money on the TS2021. I recently purchased one and its an awesome pump. Pick up a ZK1 unloader if you haven't yet.

I went ahead and got the legacy.. I hope it works out well.. Can I just put my unloader on there or should i adjust it? Looks pretty straightforward to adjust it though ive never done it. I know I'll have to change the pulley. Where do you go about getting these in person outside of possibly tractor supply?

You will be happy with the Legacy. I have had excellent luck with them.

I'm designing a system for my first build so this was great info.
Looking to build a 10gpm cold water for a wash down machine behind the hot water surface cleaner.
I was looking at Udor but the Legacy was always in the running.
Any thoughts on which is better?
Thanks

been running a udor 10 gpm for more than a year. thing is a beast. I even had an episode where I ended up with three inches of sand in the bottom of my buffer tank. Heard the pump screaming. Took it apart and it didn't have a scratch!

3/8. Yes noticeable and appreciated difference

You guys running 10 GPM,..are you using 3/8" hose or 1/2"? Or a combination of both. And,..if running 200' of 3/8" is there an appreciable difference compared to an 8 GPM?

Jeff
I run 300 feet of hose. 10 gpm. never tried an 8 gpm. I use my ball valve to rinse and only get a drip out of my bypass, so I would assume it makes a difference.

For the pulleys and bushings you can pick them up from surplus center pretty cheap or I'm sure Russ has them too

Check out Envirospec.com, they have some good prices on their pumps.

Envirospec.com is great. I buy everything from them. John Alison is extremely helpful.
