All fatboy's the same?

I want to get a fatboy (Delavan 7gpm 12v pump), just curious if there is any difference between Pressure Tek's and others that are cheaper? They all seem to have model number 7870-101E-SB but prices are all over the place. Bob's warranty is nice, but are the wiring or seals/valves/diaphragms any different?

My guess is they are the same,..otherwise I'm sure it would be denoted as an "Upgraded" pump on the Pressure Tek site. I remember guys saying that PWMall had the best prices,..but that was few years ago. It's hard to beat Pressure Teks shipping. At least for me here in Pa. If I'd order now,.it would be here tomorrow morning. Other than that though,.take your pick and use price as your guideline.

*Just a personal note: I prefer to give the my money to others in that in the industry and communicate with us here on the boards,.such as Pressure Tek or The Power Wash Store. But it's like I tell my local guy,.whom I'd rather give all my business to. I tell him he has to at least be in the ball park on pricing,..I mean I'll spend a little more to these guys,.but these business's also have to at least be competitive in pricing. Also,..I don't ask my local guy or anyone else for rigging or servicing,..I'm capable of doing that all my self,..which many of us are.

I Second the above. If it's the same model number, They should be the same. As for pricing, Yes, it can be all over the place. If our suppliers are within the ball park, I almost always give them the business.

Thanks guys. Yeah I know and love these vendors, just asking a technical question apart the pump. I thought I heard something about Bob's proprietary wiring design (now I'm thinking its just for his pump in a box upgrade with the fan) and also was curious if the warranty was offered because he used better diaphragms.

PT use's the Original Fat Boy. Its not a Delavan by name. The Guy who invented the Original Fat Boy Split from Delevan. They look the same on the outside, but parts are different on the inside. I heard the screws are backing out of the Delevan these days.
