Soaper not soaping

Any insight appreciated,,as of just recent my machine won't downstream soap if any nozzle is on. So if all nozzles are removed and wide open it will downstream soap. This is not very useful for obvious reasons. Im thinking since it sends soap without the nozzle maybe something is clogged?

I have a 25 gallon chem tank with an extra line which can be toggle switched to draw from a bucket. Niether is working with the nozzle on. Thanks in advance

Which tips are you using? Maybe rust build up inside the tip creating a smaller orifice?

Good points I will check for rust by trying a new soaper nozzle. This setup is the same we have been using for over a year so the specs apparently work out. Ralph the injector you are referring to is the brass part with the ball inside Im thinking which comes off the hose reel? I will try that monday I guess

Hi Jax Wash
I had the same issues develop with my unit for no apparent reason. I run a 3200 PSI unit @22 litres /minute.
I have 55 metres of pressure hose which was not a problem as far as the soap injector went and with all conditions met and everything new drawing soap was not an issue. Over time for some reason not completely obvious, the injector stopped working and like you it would draw soap with an open end (no soap nozzle) but soon as the nozzle went on that was it.
I have overcome the problem by installing a 12volt 5 litre/minute @ 80 PSI caravan water pump controlled by a two channel remote.
The pump draws from my soap container pushes to a 12volt solenoid to a flow metering non-return valve and direct fed into the injector.
Problem solved.
The two channel remote drives a 12volt relay (RC).
The “A” button starts the soap through a relay in the remote control unit (B A R). The “B” button stops the soap through a relay in the remote control unit (B B R).
The “A” button relay (B A R) is a normally open contact which closes the control relay (RC).
The “B” button relay (B B R) is a normally closed (NC) contact. { this is a contact you have to locate with a multi meter as it is not normally connected on the remote unit connector block }.
When you push button “A” the (B A R) closes momentarily closing the (RC) relay which is held closed by the (NC) contact on the
(B B R) which then closes a 30 amp driver relay (30 D R) for the pump and solenoid in the soap line.
When button “B” is pushed the (NC) contact opens on the (B B R) and the
(R C) relay drops out cutting the voltage to the (30 D R) coil shutting off the soap pump and the solenoid.
The system works great and will also deliver soap with my 15 metre extension pressure hose on. 70 metres of pressure hose all up. Soap through this length of hose is out of the question with a standard injector.
I have concluded that the 12 volt solenoid is probably a redundant item in the line as the non-return stops any possible back pressure to the pump and the pump delivers soap under pressure on demand anyhow. It is just something that may go wrong and I will remove it from the line when I am not so busy.

Ok, so I took injector off another one of machines and put it on the machine giving me problems. That injector was not in as bad shape but definitely not new. No luck with that still no soap. I tried a larger orifice nozzle and now I have soap!

I can't get the same distance with the larger orifice nozzle so its not ideal for me. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this??

Jax thanks for the info. Sort of over my head as I have not used a remote in the past..Switching nozzles seemed easy enough

I've never used any of that either, Wash-It HB was mentioning the remote system, I was just inquiring as to whether rust build up may be playing a factor in the tips...

Put on a brand new soap injector,..one size under the recommended for your setup,.and go from there. Soap injectors are not the most reliable thing and need to be babied to have them work reliably. In the meantime though,..while waiting for your new one,...pull the pickup hose off and poke the little check ball and make sure it is free.

I must be losing it. Changed out the entire injector and brass coupling,,soap works like a charm but won't stop soaping now,,,I can't win. I must have put the wrong size on
