I have a buddy that wants to start washing cars. He only has about 2k. He was talking to me about which pressue washer he should get. I told him I didnt know, but I would come here and ask around. What do you guys suggest?

Ha I will let him know. I couldn't think of anything around that price, but I'm new to pressure washing.

3.5 to 4 gpm at 2500 psi. Run throttle on low to save fuel and lower pressure more. RO water is best, but for now he can get a chemical to help the water not spot.

I run 6pm @ bet 1200 and 1300 psi. He can get a 13 hp honda and a oversized pump. The pump will give the gpm but not the psi and that's fine fleet washing. It's also good on fuel

4 gpm is a good overall choice but for me rinsing speed is the key i would go for the 5-6 gpm range it will cout your wash time by about 20-25%. 1500-2500 psi is adequate heat is not really necessary either on new cars. Definitely RO or DI water so its spot free and that should eliminate most brushing with the right detergents.
