(Video) How to dual feed a pressure washing using JIC fittings

Nice set up.
All that work and then no cam locks?
We have to drain everything to winterize daily so we cam lock. LOVE them and I'm switching everything over When It comes to service everything is quick. I found a hose supply company locally and they have whatever I need on the shelve at half the "internet price" so it only costs a few bucks more on a whole set.

Hey Rodger, These come off just like cam locks kinda they twist but they are metal. They screw on and off without moving the hose. Since we only run water through it we prefer metal fittings and the JIC fittings are great for this. If you watched the video you can see me take them off the pressure washer it does the same thing where the Y traps are. You simply twist them off similar to a camlock.

JIC fittings are great but they do rust so keep an eye out, they will start rusting on the inside where you don't see it and flakes of rust is the last thing you want going through your pump. It is a nice idea, could have used camlocks also, they make the camlocks out of plastic, aluminum, brass, etc.... and no rust to worry about. I have to change out my JIC fittings at least once a year because of rust inside them.

Just a side note... I've since gone to using suction hose with helix. It's truly non-crushable.

Does your paticular 1" suction hose fit snugly into Schedule 40 PVC fittings? I know Watts Spaflex cements up nicely but I'm looking for a CLEAR suction with the right outside diamameter to cement into Shedule 40 PVC fittings. Also, I shot you a text the day before yesterday to find out what you were doing on bulk SH storage. Hit me back up either through text or here.
