Rust on slate tiles.

Customer had a drain from an AC unit coming out on the ceiling of his front porch (??), and it rusted the slate tiles up. I tried using half water, half F9 and it didnt seem to do much. Used straight F9, sprayed a couple of coats on a tile, and still didnt see much change. Is there a trick to getting the rust off of these slate tiles? (BTW, I'm assuming it's rust.)

Hi Jason,

Rust can sometimes have other minerals in it, like lime, potassium, calcium, magnesium and more. When this is the case and BARC won't cut through it you will need some help with F9 Efflo, I would go 4:1 water to efflo on the tile, scrub then surface clean. Efflo by itself may also remove the rust, but if there is still some rust left then you could use the barc to finish it off.
