Semi wash question

Good morning. I am wondering if I need to use IO or DI water for fleet wash? Or can I use plain old water from a hose? Thank you.

In Mesa, I would use DI water, otherwise you will have a terrible spotting problem, and the good customers will have a problem with that. Where much of the country is at 100 parts per million, we are at 800 parts per million. It is very hard on the paint and vehicles.

65 sounds to high for regular cleaning. these guys doing fleet washing can do a full size semi in 10 to 15 minutes

Ro and DI water make a big difference in wash quality and speed it helps the soaps work better too. I would say it is the most important and underrated part of the washing process.

However it really depends on how bad your water really is if its absolutely necessary or not to prevent spotting, the higher the TDS (total dissolved solids) the more you will need it.

It is absolutely necessary for a high end wash in Phoenix. I used to get my bottles from Ionic pure solutions. There are other companies in the valley, too.
