New here and got a question..

Hey everyone, My name is Hugo. Just started my own business. Spent 8 years in the Marine Corps, became a police officer and decided to start my own PW company.

My question.. When it comes to networking and getting pointer..

1. Is it a good idea to reach out to local competition/ PW companies close by and ask them for pointers or advice about the business. Nothing about price but how to build/grow the business as well as best way to set up the trailer. I'm not looking to steal business from anyone. I want to gain as much info as possible and I figured that I could ask someone local and see if they would lend a helping hand.

2. When starting out... How did you start off? What are your best suggestions to build a clientele?

3. I have a cold water 4.5 gpm setup and just picked up a soft wash unit (GEN 3 from TPWS) would you get a 5 gpm hot water machine now or upgrade to a new cold water 8 gpm unit.

I want to have a solid unit that can handle residential and commercial once it presents itself. i don't want to get a job and then have to walk away because I don't have the resources.

Thank you so much in advance. I look forward to getting to know you all.. Any and all advice is appreciated.

I have a video stop buying crap on my facebook page.

Call Russ Johnson and get a quote for any and all equipment, Great service and good fair prices.

Good Evening Hugo my name is Jamie Schmidt. Starting off I would get yard signs,Flyers,Business cards and get out and meet everyone I could. As equipment goes it really comes down to preference personally I think a 5.5 GPM hot water unit is all you need. Currently we run 5.5 GPM and 8GPM the issue with the 8 GPM is water usage. You don't need the biggest equipment on the Market start off slow and let your Company grow into more equipment. I would get out to a Free UAMCC event and network with some great contractors and get some free education. Check out http://www.uamccevents.com/events for some upcoming events. If you ever need help or want to talk give me a call 856-829-5449 Good luck Hugo
