Replacement Pump

I have a one year old Simpson 3800 PSI, 3.5 GPM washer. I’ve had problems out of the unloader valve and losing pressure sometimes and flow. I pulled the pump off and all the valves and rings look good. I’m thinking it’s the unloader only, but was wanting to upgrade the pump anyways and thought about going with a 4000 PSI 4 GPM pump. It has a GX 270 motor that has 8.4 HP and turns 3600 RPM power output.

Do yall think this will turn a larger pump? If so, it has a AAA pump now
but I was looking at the GP brand. If the pump is a direct shaft and I order the correct shaft size, they should work correct?

Whats your pump recommendations in that range that won’t break the bank?

Thanks

So it's a direct drive pump?
General EZ4040
AR RKV4G40, 4.5G40, 5G40, and 5.5G40 will all work fine. With a 9 hp, your pressure will be reduced.

What to look for when Buying Pressure Washer Pumps

Whether you call them outdoor cleaners, power washers or pressure cleaners, all pressure washers work the same. Water enters the machine at low pressure and a gas engine or electric motor pumps water through a hose and a spray nozzle at higher pressure...........
