General Pump TSF2021 Question

I'm trying to take the busing off of the shaft of a GP TSF2021 pump and I can't seem to find the right size Allen wrench to get the set screw out of the bushing. I know it's a long shot but does anybody know for sure what size Allen wrench works. Maybe it's one of those Star type wrenches instead?

I've been on vacation and away from home for the past week so have not had a chance to mess with this issue again until today. The reason I couldn't get the set screw out of the bushing is because there was no set screw in the bushing at all. The threads were recessed down into a hole so far that I couldn't tell that there was no set screw. That's why I couldn't get the Allen wrench into the head of the set screw. I can't believe there was no screw in there. It may have fallen out from vibration of the machine or maybe there never was a set screw in the bushing at all. I guess the bolt that goes into the end of the shaft was holding the bushing and pulley in place.

I had taken the bolt out of the end of the pump shaft and removed the pulley but the bushing was stuck on the shaft even with no set screw in it. I finally was able to slide (by tapping with a wrench) the bushing off of the shaft once I determined that there was no set screw in the bushing.

I guess I'll have to find a set screw to help secure the bushing onto the shaft of the new pump. I don't think Pressure Pro had ever put a set screw in the bushing to start with when they assembled this pressure washer.

Thanks a lot Pressure Pro!!!!

I emailed Bob Williamson and he said that the tapered bushing is what holds everything together so there is actually no need for a set screw in the bushing. So Pressure Pro didn't mess this up. It just doesn't need the set screw.

I got the new pump and belts installed today. Wasn't a whole lot of fun but machine now screams with new pump.
