Surface Cleaner Nozzle Size

I know it has been discussed, but I can't find the answer I am looking for even with searching though all the threads. I just bought a 30" 3 nozzle surface cleaner. I used it today for a few minutes and it was terrible! I am running 8 gpm @4000 psi. The surface cleaner came with 65 degree 2 orifice nozzles. I feel the 65 is way too broad. I am thinking of switching to 40 degree, but not sure which orifice size I should use. If I go with 2.5's that would give me 7.5 gpm. The 3's would be 9 gpm. Since I am using an 8 gpm set up, I assume I should get the 2.5's. My 20" SC has 25 degree tips and it cleans great. Would those be too small for the 30" cleaner?
