Best Gutter Cleaner is it Gutter Zap?

I am the best gutter cleaner..........oh, wait........you said "what".....nevermind. :D

I like Gutter Zap, but mostly because that's pretty much all I have ever tried. If it's not broke, don't fix it, right?

I use Krud Kutter from HD. At about $5/gal, it can't be beat. I apply with a brush/pole - very little rubbing needed, except sometimes on the underside of the gutter. As you brush this on, you can see the black streaks disappear. It also leaves the gutters shiny and smooth.

John, do you apply it straight or diluted? Thanks.

I brush my gutters all the time, but I have read, that you should not brush gutters... What is your guys opinion on this?

Why would someone say this also?

Chris, I use it full strength. One gallon is usually enough to clean the gutters on 4 -5 houses...depending on how many gutters there are.

As to brushing, I can understand why you would not want to brush too much...many times the finish is, shall we say, "delicate". If you are too aggressive with the brush, it may come off. With the Krud Kutter, there is usually no need to scrub, merely apply with the brush.

I love Steve Rowlett's gutrter cleaning chem. I never have used anything that worked faster and this stuff really cleans the gutters.

Tested out KK today. Worked pretty good!

Applied with brush and sprayed off with garden hose.

Gutters look shiney and new except like Jon said under the

gutter. However, I probably would have seen even better results

if rinse was by PW vs. Garden Hose.

Anybody else tried this stuff and compared to Gutter Zap or Steve

Rowlett's stuff?

This is what I like about Steve's stuff. I apply house wash to two sides of the house with x jet, I then apply his gutter cleaner with x jet. As soon as it is applied, I start to rinse, starting with the gutters. No brushing, almost makes perfect dwell time for house wash, and it saves me a lot of time. I don't bother with brushes unless there are unusual circumstances.

Thanks John, I'll check it out.

All Brite

Sun Brite Supply's cleaner for gutters is called All Brite. It can also be used as a house wash, or mild degreaser, good on awnings, light concrete cleaning..... It is a time saver when washing houses because you can use it as the house wash diluted, and use the concentrate at the same time to do the gutters and wash everything at the same time. Works well on the windows, too. Just wanted to let you know the name of the chem.

Here is a little secret of mine. Go to the dollar store and buy some Awesome. It works as well as the zap and its cheap

Purple Power is always a top of the list gutter cleaner. When all said and done,..With coupon code and free shipping to your door on orders over $75.00,.. comes to about $19.00 5 gallon bucket,..and can be cut 50/50 in the Summer temps. about $1.90 a gallon. Tough to beat on cost AND most importantly,..effectiveness.

Which one?

I've tried many of the available products but my preference for cleaning gutters is F13 gutter grenade.
By far the best and most efficient cleaning product for removing black stripe.

Although it doesn't seem to make sense,..I've concluded that gutter cleaning must have a regional factor? I say this because I've always heard about F-13 being what many consider the best gutter cleaner,..but it didn't work as well as I'd like,..especially at the dilution rates some mention. I think we used it 1:1 and it did ok,.but wasn't marvelous. Now,..I'm not knocking the product,..as many testimonials over the years have solidified it's place as a quality gutter cleaner,..just didn't work for me as well or was near as cost effective as Purple Power. And I've seen others say the same thing about Purple Power,..it doesn't work for some.
