I was just wondering if I should put off advertising here for
a few weeks, we still have snow on the ground and it doesnt
look any better 2 weeks down the road, with this type of
situation, when would be a good time to start advertising ?

You want to

get your ads out their the same time you start seeing ads for lawn furn.,grill's,pool supplies, and summer wear in the sunday newspaper. You need to line up as much work as you can before school let's out for summer vacation. Once that happens people tend to spend the money on the kids.
Right now the best advertising would be to target people looking to sell thier home.
Intersest rates have never been lower. I bet the housing market stay's hot.
Also BUYER'S of homes want to start out with everything looking it's best.

I would wait. When the weather gets warm and people start hanging outside on their decks or working in their yards - thats the time to hit them with advertisement. Customers think home improvement in the spring - there is something in the air.

Out of sight - Out of mind.

A homeowner receives a mail-out to clean there home, etc - when snow is on the ground or cold weather - that mail-out is filed away in a drawer or waste basket. Why should they call you when the temps are in the 30's of 40's. You can provide the service at this time nor do they want it.

Timing of advertisement is more important the presentation itself.

A landscaper does not send advertisment out that promotes flowers when their is snow on the ground. Nor should we.
