What do you do?

When I go to do a job on a home - I do the following:

1. Place a yard sign in the yard.
2. Place a flyer and card on the surrounding houses
- In that flyer, I say who I am and the services that I offer. I also list the address of the site that I am cleaning (with owner permission) and say "Drive by and see the asphalt roof that I cleaned - Yours can look the same way. I give the owner a discount to allow me to do this. Also I offer a neighborhood discount for any two jobs schedule at the same time.

*One last thing - in a neighborhood where there is a lot of money and business to be gotten - I will try to schedule the job in the late afternoon where all the neighbors can drive by and see me as they are returning from work. Always have cards, flyers, etc in the truck.

What do you do?

Tim I plan doing the same thing, before I got into finance and was a sales person I would send a letter out to all of my customers neighbors, 5 houses on each side. I got good results, and had a built in referal because they would always ask the original customer about me.

It works awesome. Offer a neighborhood discount.

Try this - Offer the current customer a rebate - If you get another job in the neighborhood, you will give her a % back for each signed contract. You just created a Salesperson.

The neighborhood discounts consist of this:

The person who refers gets a rebate and the person getting the job done gets a % discount.

This works great - next thing you know, your constantly going into this neighborhood and the neighborhood boundarys keep getting larger and larger.

>Give a box of $3 candy with the invoice and tell them how much you appreciate their business. They will love you.

All the above will only work if you provide Quality Services and carry yourself in an ethical manner.

Thanks for responding - the only way we can learn and earn more money is through discussion - both positive and negative.
