I actually had a guy call me and ask me if I had a hot water machine. I told him yes, and he asked me if it would take the stain out of his fence. I told him it would, but I would recommend sanding it. He told me that he had been trying to sand it for 2 days and was fed up with it, and wanted find another way. I told him that it would fur the wood, and would take a while to dry out before he could do anything to it, and he didn't mind. So anyway, I went over and did an area of it, he liked it, so I did the whole fence, and got all the stain out. He has since sanded and stained, and it looks great. So go figure.

There is no need to use hot water on a fence. Just use the same chems you would for a deck, and wash it just like a deck. The chems do the work, no heat or water pressure.

In fact, hot water is more likely to cause the wood to fur up unnecesarrily. Sanding a fence is an insane amount of work to have to do.
