Anyone have any idea on how to get ride of computer POP UP ads
 
Panicware pop up stopper is great. I do a lot of on line racing and the pop ups used to kill the game. Pop Up Stopper keeps this from happening, although sometimes you have to disable it to open some links.
 
David, I use panicware's pop up stopper and it works well. yometimes you need to hod the Ctrl button when you click on a link but it beats seeing the pop ups.

I have not seen one that is not soliciting for a stop solution!
 
I solved my pop-up problem by switching from Internet Explorer to Avant Browser http://www.avantbrowser.com/

Avant allows page turning with your mouse, kills pop-ups ALL the time and allows you to keep multiple web sites open - and remembers them even after closing the browser. In other words, if you have any number of frequently visited sites, you just leave them open so that every time you go online, you won't have to open them - they're already open.

I have been using Avant for several months using Windows XP and have encountered no bugs. If you like it, they ask for a donation of a few bucks.

The pop up blocker works really well, and you get to see the PR Ranking of every site you visit!

i use that google tool bar......i get very few pop ups.........only on the sites where I choose to allow them.
