Want More GPM`s

I recently picked up a few more locations to do for a customer. The number of locations pretty much doubled. And they want them cleaned more often. Once a month instead of quarterly. Need to clean a little faster. I`m currently running a 5gpm machine and would love to go bigger, 6-8gpm would be great. Any brand name suggestions? Just price shopping now. Thanks.

Landa, Hydrotek, Delco. Out of this list of 3, Landa will be most expensive and Delco will be cheapest. Ive used both Landa machines and Hydrotek machines and they compare fairly equal in my opinion. I am currently using a hydrotek skid and am very pleased with its performance. Take into consideration service after the sale. This is why I buy local and pay more money for my equipment. Distributors are more apt to service equipment they sell and offer discounts on parts and chemicals as well.

If all you want is more gpm for the more difficult jobs - then why not obtain a small, inexpensive machine to couple with main unit when the need arises?

Can you couple a small machine with a bigger machine? Have a 3.5gal and a 4.8 gal (both 3000) I would like to couple but worried about the outcome. Would the bigger machine block the flow of the smaller? What would you use to couple a Y or a T? Would a check valve be needed for the smaller machine? Thanks for any info!

Both machines must be the same gpm .

If not they will not go into bypass once the trigger is released.

This works great with pressure type unloaders.

Make sure you have more than enough incoming water to handle both machines.

A switch to a larger nozzle will also be required.

If a surface cleaner is used, those nozzles will also need to be changed also.

Is this an effective combination? It can be on a limited basis.

My set up uses two six foot h.p. hoses.

One leading from each machine quick coupling into a stainless tee.

The tee has a plug coming out of the center that the working h.p. line plugs into. This line leads to the gun.

That sounds like a pretty cool idea. I have a dual gun rig with 8gpm so I can always just drop down to one gun and larger tips. What about just checking into a larger pump if your engine can handle it. There's a place in florida that sells alot of pw equipment pretty cheap. If you want the name to it let me know and I will look it up for you.

Henry,
While this idea does works it can also be a pain .

It is not a substitute for the larger pump and engine.

More gpm = faster more and effiecent work.

I am familar with that Florida company, Water Cannon www.watercannon.com and their competitive prices.

Let me remind both of you that there are no restrictions on this bulletin board for contractors mentioning said company by name, or even posting their web address or phone number, if you choose.
