Georgia PWNA Chapter

Greetings,

This is to introduce and announce the formation of the Georgia Chapter of the Power Washers of North America.

As you may know, the National PWNA organization is the recognized leader and the leading voice for the professional power washing industry. The PWNA, in an effort to boost participation on a grassroots level, has recently allowed and encouraged the formation of state level chapters. We are rising to the call.

One of the goals of the PWNA is to improve the industry through higher education. By increasing the awareness of the public at large as to what exactly a professional power washer is and what they do, and by further raising the bar of expectations for the professional power washing contractor, the end product can only be a safer and more profitable industry.

Our goal at the state level for our chapter of the PWNA is much the same. We are resolute in our goal to further educate the power washing contractor in many different areas. Most prominently figured in these ways includes but are certainly not limited to; the Clean Water Act and the Best Management Practices of the same in nearby regions, Safety and OSHA Compliance, chemical safety and familiarity, and MSDS compliance. There are certainly hundreds of topics that we could add to this list including machine types and maintenance, specific washing techniques, tools and gadgets, specific chemical applications and solutions for tough projects, etc. As it happens, we have plans for several of these topics to be discussed at other meetings in the future.

We are similarly dedicated to raising the consuming publics’ awareness of many of the same issues. We firmly believe that an informed and educated populace will make smart buying decisions and use qualified contractors. This will no doubt lead to a safer, cleaner, and most assuredly more profitable worksite. Piggybacking our awareness campaign with local public service education efforts concerning water quality and environmental awareness remains a very large target for us and we are steadfastly focused upon it.

We are contacting you to extend this invitation to join us in our efforts to further educate contractors and the general consuming public. We need the support and participation of manufacturers and suppliers from within the industry and commit to supporting those who stand ready and able with us.

Here’s how you can help.

You will notice here that we have not asked that any person or company join the PWNA or the Ga. Chapter of the PWNA as a paid member as a condition of attendance or participation.

We would most certainly be pleased with new members joining of the organization and strongly believe that in order to demonstrate a more complete commitment to our goals that one would join. However, it must be stated again that membership is not required in order to attend. Our ultimate goal is participation. Membership will take care of itself.

Those of you that do join the Georgia Chapter of PWNA at this meeting will be considered Charter Members and their names will be included on our original Charter document. The officers of this Chapter will be nominated and voted upon by the members. Officers are required to be PWNA members.
