Hello!

I found this board while hunting around on other PW-BBS's looking for advertising/marketing information.

I've been researching this field for almost a year now.

If all goes well and the economy doesn't fall apart, we plan on opening a PW business - for business - in the spring. I hope you folks don't mind if I start asking a bunch of questions soon...

Initially, I'm going to focus on new construction (brick and flat work), small businesses (flat work, buildings, awnings, etc), and residential. Of course, at first I'll do anything that anybody, including myself, will trust me to do.

We haven't purchased any equipment yet. Although I'm kind of leaning towards Tuff. I've talked to several dealer/distributors and I really like the Tuff HW, 5.6 GPM, 3500 PSI, 24 HP Honda. Any input regarding that machine (good or bad) would be appreciated very much.

See ya around the board!

Best Regards,
Paul Freeman

Paul,

I can't comment much about Tuff PW's because I don't own one. I can tell you that Landa's are excellent because that one I do have.

As far as the Tuff"s go I hear there pretty good. If you go to www.dcs1.com and go to that Bulletin Board there is someone selling a complete set up with a tuff 3000psi 4.6gal hot water machine that comes with a water tank and trailer and other related items all for I think $2700. I believe the person selling the above said that he paid around $6500 for the whole package last year, and the Tuff PW only has around 12hrs on it. If that is all true it looks like a good deal.

Either way good luck and ask all the questions that pop up in your head. Thats what where here for.

John

well I was on another board that was talkin' trash 'bout ya and your aka's(you know who so no need to say) but I don't really care what 2 or 3 people say I think you have a very good BBS...I go to dans, mikes, delcos, gregs.geoeffs and a few more...bottom line some don't like you for speaking your mind,I think it is your right and good move for starting your own board you are doing a good job, and i am glad to be a part of it.

Jon told me. But it's supposed to be a secret. OOOPS!

I read about from your post Ron, on the MaxeyWash BB. I think this is a really good BB and I enjoy reading the posts.

How did I find the board?

Ron,

I believe you, or somebody else, left me a message on my voicemail about seeing my posts on another site and asking me to check this one out. You've done a good job and I'm glad I checked it out.

I had two other companies that I built and sold prior to my pressure washing business in industries unrelated to this. Yet, no matter how long I'm in this business it continues to amaze me how incredible the level of support is between power washers throughout the country on these boards. Competition is fierce in most businesses, but in this one I've actually met and had dinner and drinks with local competitors and worked out deals to help each other out in our area. There's something to be said about an industry that has a bunch of entrepreneurs that love what they do to such an extent that they will help other guys in the same field build their businesses. That's the reason I post and share experience and knowledge I've developed over the years on boards like this. Keep up the great work Ron!

Thanks for giving me a call and telling me about it!

If memory serves, Zippo, in conjunction with the lack of support from the Super, Multi Rig, Successful, "Qualified", Contractors on this board, who didn't support the guy when he confronted Ol'Zip, ran him off.

Of course, that's just my opinion. :)
