Rust Stains in Concrete??

Oxalic acid will lighten it a good bit. GSR by Eacochem is an acid for concrete cleaning which also contains oxalic - we've had good luck using that on rust stains in driveways.

I have the same problem. Where can I get some Oxalic acid. I live in Dallas Texas. I a have job next week to remove rust around some dumpster pads. I have tried phosphoric acid but it did not work very well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Speed's Powerwash

Use EcoChem GSR or One Restore. Like any other chem you will kill the grass if you don't rinse well.

Always explain to the customer that some browning (burning) of the grass will occur, but is only temporary.

Everything I've came across so far oxalic has worked fine. I buy it in 50 lb bag. Use on decks too so 2birds one stone.
Ox usually 10oz/gal. Deck brush hot water

How do you guys apply oxalic? I bought some last year to try on rust. It came in a bag, I was expecting it to be a liquid but it looked like a bag of cocaine and would easily pass as a drug bust over here if anyone seen me carrying it about!
I didn't have a clue what to do with it so I mixed in 500g(1lb2oz?)with a litre of water and poured over the rust stain and nothing happened. Surface was Indian sandstone.

oxalic only works for light rust.....unless you have all day to keep reapplying it.
If you aren't comfortable with stronger stuff AND familiar with the safety precautions/PPE, stick with oxlic.

These were done in 3 (top) and 2 hrs (bottom).
